Well Rikter's cover collection torrent is finally working for me. Downloading it now.

Hey Rikter, those of us who make covers for the trilogy, how would you feel about us sending the finished products to you for inclusion in your torrent? Just a thought really, I was thinkning it would be really cool if there were an archive torrent that could be continually updated with the efforts of those who are into doing this kind of thing. I downloaded the torrent yesterday, and there is some really fine work on there. Anyway, just curious to get your thoughts on the idea, and maybe set up the submission policies if you decide to do it.

When are we expecting word back on Scala's covers? I'd slap my mom for a shiny Star Wars boxset! How do you get metallic paper to print stuff like that? I wonder what Rikter's covers would look like on shiny paper. oh, and does anyone know if there is textured paper to do those Definitve Collection Text only covers on? Make the DVD sleeves feel like the old LD box! Maybe Do it in Digi-Pack? Now that would be awesome!

I would be honored to have all of these wonderful covers in the set !!

- I will actually upload a new torrent next week or so with all the new covers in it so it woulr be a small 50-100mb torrrent - SO yes I will do it.

AFTER Maddy is home I'll get on-line with a messenger service and we can transfer the files or you can email them to me - BUT first let me get things back to normal here at home.......

So I'll post a way to send me the cover art

I'm gonna need to get new ink so I can also print these new covers!

Wicked. It's really remarkable how excellent a lot of these covers are. Makes you wonder why we're not the ones doing this professionally, when you look at some of the lame duck DVD covers out there, Predator 2 anyone?

I have an FTP server if that'll help you out. Dunno if you do ftp, but I figure it'd make for easier and faster file transfer. If that's good for you let me know and I'll PM you with the addy and the user name/password.

I saw all the great covers that you guys have been doing and thought of contributing a little myself. This are only slight modifications of the MagnoliaFan covers but I think they look kind of nice. What do you guys think????

spidernap - I like the logos at the bottom of the front cover, though for me whilst the artwork is pretty cool I'm not sure that it fits well with the rest of the cover (maybe it's the lack of colour in the art).

I agree, the black and white front need to match the back, I think that instead of coloring the front I'll put the back in black and white too. I like te pencilwork in the front (its not pictures its actually fine pencilwork)

On the front cover perhaps leaving a gap between the picture and the logo would give it more of an 'imposing' (damn my limited vocab) stand-out feel?

It seems strange to not see Maul and Palpatine on the front cover - though I do like the look of having just 4 or 5 characters on the front.

If you need more space on the back cover for more drawings, the texts 'In a stream of seemingly endless never ending...' all the way to the end of 'enahnce the feel of the overall story' could be removed without info on the film being lost.

Perhaps the gold lettering could be changed to silver on the spine so that the drawings fit in better wit the rest fo the cover?

I'd wait for other ppl's opinions and suggestions before thinking of changing anything though.

I'll be posting my own DVD covers based on some of those that came with my TR47 set. Love the stuff you all have created.

OT: Has anyone gotten the TR47 set to play correctly on their computer? On mine other computers in my household, the glowing reds (like R-2's eye) are hyper pixilated and parts of SW and ROTJ refuse to play at all. Somehow, these problems don't appear on my home theater system however. Is this a codec problem or what? Copy protection?

Well, actually, they generally look pretty good IMHO. It's just the glowing reds. Seems like a codec issue, but I can't figure it out.

Some people could use some more patience it seems ... unlike you apparently I don't have all the time in the world to spend in front of my PC.
