DanielB, I too thank you for uploading the "faces" covers. If possible, could you post the TR47 version? Thanks.

EDIT: I hate to be a pain in the A**, but if you still have the Adobe PSD files saved for the Chapter Index, do you think you could do another version without the bottom right picture on the ANH (where the text has to overlap it)? And maybee make all three have a black background with white text? I think that would be really sharp looking. Regardless, thanks for the fantastic chapter lists.

I just labored away at my own fresh, new TR47 chapter inserts.

I don't have the web space to host them, but if you IM me on AIM, my screen name is Backfloyd.

If anyone can host them, that'd be great. Thanks!

My stance on revising fan edits.

Cerbero's all black covers are VERY cool - I wonder what they'd look like if the colours were reversed, so it was a white background with black lettring? (Sort of the Ultimate Inksaver set)

Something like this? I left the background like that. Could made it also pure white but in my opinion it's better that way. That's just an example, I can edit them all and host them if someone would like to...

Still, the use of that SE X-Wing shot doesn't really fit in with the Definitive OT set!

Otherwise that ink saver sample looks great!

Ouch... I didn't realize that... Is there a fixed set somewhere? Or a good quality picture from Definitive OT?

OK, here's a fixed full size minimalistic ink saver cover for Star Wars. Remember that this is not my work at all, credits go atleast to cerbero.¨
(I've only used negative in Gimp and fixed that screen capture to one taken from OT.)

If someone want's also episodes V, VI and the SM just ask me (it's very easy to do it yourself).

edit: There is the hole set two posts down so I'll take this offline.

Looks very nice!

Yes, I´d love to see V, VI & SM done the same way. Is it possible for you to make all 4 of them available to download in a ZIP file in high resolution? Like to print them out.

They aren't done in adobe photoshop. In fact I made the text using a white background, and just darkened it to make it look like it was blending into the pic (darkened it's blend that is, the text remains the same colour), of course it doesn't at all (except for a few pixels which I decided needed to blend). So what I've done for you is provided the original text. I also included a text file with all the scene indexes in it in case anyone wants to use it and doesn't want to have to manually type out every scene name.

TR47 Faces: SW ESB ROTJ

White Insert Text for SW
Complete Insert Text for SW trilogy

The anamorphic Faces are now offline. Not that it really matters since there's a 404 page that's just as nice now. I've also restricted access (ie hotlinking from other sites won't work) in case anyone was thinking of hotlinking...

I uploaded the Minimalistic Ink Saver Definitive Collection cover set also in png format. It's lossless so it's theorically better, though you propably won't be able to see the difference. I changed the link in my earlier post to point at this png set. I'll remove the jpg set in about hour or so (don't want to do it right away 'cause some of you are downloading it at the moment I think)

I was under the impression you were meant to be on a break Rik... And besides, you sent me CD of covers in the first place. Doesn't bother me none, except my webspace is limited to 25M! Liteoni your best bet is to still save it in JPEG format because it's already gone through lossy compression to get to it's state, so you may as well sacrifice more quality since you aren't gaining anything by not. If people want it the same quality as the original JPEG they can do it themselves.

Liteoni it should be possible to convert the set using almost no recompression at all. certainly no recompression on the front cover/spine would be easy. Yes I said it's _theorically_ better because of one less JPEG compression... But that was not the real reason to use PNG. The real reason is that the .png file size is actually smaller than original .jpg Though when i zipped those 4 files as someone requested the jpegs package was smaller. Not much though. But I don't want to keep my covers in archives so I just use PNG.

Well if PNG was smaller than use it.

Well thank you BUT I strongly stress that those covers are not my work. Thank cerbero instead. I just did some _very minimal_ editing to them.

Just want to say that everyone who has posted their work has done fantastic jobs!

Rikter, do you think it would be possible to post higher res images of the original laserdisc set and the "inspired by" ink-savers? Perhaps that .rar file from page 8 that is now dead?
