Yes, this Mon Mothma vs. Saw Gerrera stuff is much, much more interesting. I’m back on board.
Don’t worry. We move on from them pretty quick
I would put this in my sig if I weren’t so lazy.

I really hated the first 2 Mandolorian episodes. They were overly silly, the jetpack antics made me want to bash my head against a wall, and the fight scenes were laughable. Maybe I was just in a bad mood when I watched, though. I really liked the Saw Gerrera episodes; they definitely seemed like a step in the right direction, and I enjoyed seeing Saw again. These last 2 Lothal episodes were nearly perfect, IMO. They struck the perfect tone, and I was glad to see stormtroopers being actually injured and not just cartoonishly knocked out (I think Ezra even slashed one!). The dark and gloomy atmosphere of the first episode was made up for with the more light-hearted second episode. I liked the joke with the stormtroopers chasing the Lothcats. The choreography of the fight scenes seemed greatly improved, especially the sequence where Ezra’s trying to hold off the stormtroopers at the hangar, but I noticed it even during the fighter chase. The sound design seems to be improved as well. I also liked the force mysticism going on, and I’m interested to see where that story goes.
The force is so much more compelling and interesting now than it was 4 years ago during the “Sci fi legends” Era
Embracing the more fantasy genre elements of mythology and incorporating them into Star wars feels natural.
I would not mind if they went to wheel of time for inspiration for the force.

Spot on.
Hera cemented her role as my favorite pilot this week when she
aimed a U-Wing straight through a docking bay & went into hyperspace through it.

oh man, i really want to click expand, but i am not caught up yet… 😦
Yeah, resist that urge. It needed to be a much bigger part of the episode. Whenever Hera’s not on screen, all the other characters should be asking “Where’s Hera?”.

I haven’t seen the episode yet, but Hera is definitely the best of the crew.

Hell yes. Last week’s episodes were top notch. Looking forward to seeing the rest. I am gonna miss these characters.
Enjoyed that - anyone know when the 2nd half of the season will air?

I think it’s a passable show some good moments but mainly just boring I like a couple episodes
Mainly twin suns and twilight of the apprentice but the rest is just boring I’ll just stick with the Clone Wars

A friend of mine suggested that I watch Rebels, which I already planned to do at some point in the future, just hadn’t gotten around to yet. However, he says the first season sucks, but it gets great as soon as S2 begins. Is that a fair assessment? If so, how much of S1 do I have to watch to know enough to get to the good stuff?
I wouldn’t call that a fair assessment. The first season is slow to start, but it becomes pretty good by the end. S2 is good but of somewhat inconsistent quality, so I wouldn’t really say it’s a significant improvement. I’d just start from the beginning. The “bad” stuff isn’t really all that bad.

I would actually say the opposite. I think the series gets worse with every season.

Agreed.
You need to watch it all. First two seasons are a mix of good and not so good episodes. The rest is quite good, but you really gotta see it all.

Seems like the remaining episodes won’t be shown until next month / early next year - a shame that, I was hoping they’d start screening them around Christmas and the TLJ release.

I can’t wait for the last episodes, but I’m going to be sad to see these characters go. What a great show!
What will happen after Rebels? Might there be another show in the pipeline or will there be a moratorium?
Dave is working on something else, which is why he’s not directly overseeing this last season. Whether it’s a new series or (what I’m hoping for) a feature film, remains to be seen.
Didn’t he openly say at the convention that they’re developing a new show?

They always take December off to give the new movie the spotlight.
Do not DM me for edits. Whatever you’re looking for I don’t have it.
Finally caught up with this the other day. Really liking this season, glad they finally got to do it serialized.
Seems it will be back on the 24th February if this is correct…
