How are things progressing?

What ever happened with the lightsaber construction stuff?

I am making slow progress at the moment. The heat here in the UK combined with work and parenting has meant that things have almost grinded to a halt. However, I do now have:

- One interview with Mr Toby Philpott (via email) which I will be including quotes from for 'Returning to Jedi'. I also intend to put a text file of the interview transcript in the DVD-ROM extras.

- Some mostly unheard interviews from around the time on their way to me

- Some 'lightsaber construction scene' goodies in the pipeline.

- Confirmation of a deleted scene from an official source, with paperwork to back it up!

The 'doco' itself is taking shape and looking real nice!

Just a quick update to say that I have removed my trailers from youtube.com. The small print now says that they have the ownership rights to any video posted on their site. They also have restrictions on uploading copyrighted material.

Hi Jambe, I saw you are looking for someone to reconstruct the "REVENGE OF THE JEDI" scoll. I can do it. I'll need to find a draft of the REVENGE SCROLL before I can began.

I have seen some of the footage but I would love to get in contact with him and ask permission to use the rest of it (and see the rest of it!). There is apparently 8 minutes in all. I have tracked someone who knows the guy but he has had no luck at reaching him. If anyone on these forums can help, it would be very much appreciated.

Well it looks like the crawl is underway. Thanks Rebel11_38. Hooray!

I have also obtained some very interesting photos of the Sail Barge set, one particularly intriguing photo shows some full size props that don't belong there! More info in the doco.

Hi Jambe,

I am working on two different crawl sequences from different script drafts. Thought it would be beneficial if you would like to show the evolution. Would of had them done sooner but had to go out of town on business. I just wanted to know if you still want to see them? Being a perfectionest I WILL NOT present my work until it is to the highest of standards.

Thanks to the 10 people who have filled in the survery so far.

Sorry, it was totally my mistake where question 3 is concerned. I meant to allow people to tick more than one option. For now, just tick 'other' and write the rest of your answer there, thanks.

Some interesting stuff coming out. There seem to be several people who want me to cut out any scenes that aren't augmented with any extras. I had thought about doing this as it's hard to find enough stuff to fill the gaps. The behind the scenes stuff is so heavy on Jabba and the Ewoks!

This project is proving far more challenging than 'Building Empire'.
