Another album cover inconsistency. My phone doesn’t have any cover shown, I don’t remember my CD having this cover, but I can’t find an image of what it has online. And frankly I can’t remember what it looks like, just that it wasn’t this.

Oh God – Dark City is based on a true story after all!

Class - very underrated album from New Order

(being released during my mis-spent youth may be clouding my judgement on this matter though 😉)

.

The Last Internationale - We Will Reign… (superb vocals and riffy guitars!)

Not sure if it counts, but it was the entire album. It’s not Pink Floyd’s best, but the Trump angle made it interesting. https://youtu.be/8Zp0LSuawhw

Haha, I’m an idiot. I didn’t listen to Drums and Wires, I listed to Drums and Wireless. No wonder the album art was different than I remember.

Madman

The last truly solid Ozzy album. He had some amazing songs down the road. I’d almost say Bark at the Moon was the last great album, but it’s not really as solid. Jake E. Lee was as capable a guitarist as Randy, but I think it was a steep decline for Ozzy.

Randy Rhoads was really letting loose on this album, and cementing himself as more than just another Eddie Van Halen. Randy had that perfect mixture of the shredding Van Halen with the brooding qualities of Tony Iommi. There was nothing candy coated about it. It was both ferocious and disciplined. Blizzard was a great album, full of great guitar. Randy was just getting started with that album. Diary was so much improved, I can only imagine what the next album would’ve been like.

"The other versions will disappear. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version [of the Special Edition], and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

I dunno, I guess I just have this mental picture of the music you listen to, and sometimes you post a song or album that’s so perfectly in line with that but that I hadn’t thought of that I can’t help but laugh.

Huh, I thought I was the only person that even remembered Len.

I can’t imagine anyone forgot Steal My Sunshine. It played on the radio on a loop alternating with Closing Time every day.

Ok granted but I didn’t think anyone ever knew the name of the band, or that they had an actual album, or that anyone else would still be listening to it.

Speaking of which…

I think the most surprising thing is that Len made it out of the 90s.

Agreed.

Both their 2005 album and the above 2013 one are surprisingly decent.
