A sad day to see him leave because he's a great manager.

Finally no more 'ghost' goals and him whinging on about how lucky Liverpool or whoever else beat them were

Was quality when he first came over here - though has lost his way perhaps in the way Chelsea have became over-dependent on the long ball to Drogba and Lampard running off him. For £300m no wonder Abramovich expected a little more flair and quality play...

You feel sorry for the new guy and the big pressure that's on him tomorrow

Hi Scout - poor Avram, am sure he's had a tough enough week without the ref adding to his woes. To be fair Chelsea did look to play some attacking/flair footy for a change until the unjust sending off and then conceding just before halftime. If, and it is a big if, Chelsea do play with the attacking play and gusto they once did a few years ago they may actually please their Russian owner!

If I were that ref in that game I'd holdfire on buying a lottery ticket at the moment - any decisions and he'd be bound to mess it up

ps - what did you think of our performance vs Brum on Satdee, and the 2 games vs Portsmouth and Porto?

I wasn't too unhappy with getting a point at Portsmouth - a bit of a bogey side for us, and especially difficult playing away in the early kick off after the international break (feel sorry for the away lads who had to get leave Friday night to make it just because of tv times).

Thought we were quite lucky to get a draw vs Porto - still can't make up my mind if we underperformed - or Porto were really up for it and were on form. They had a lot of possession in dangerous places - but thankfully their final pass was off/poor.

The B'ham game for me is the 1st game where I tohught we'd let ourselves down - fair play to Blues for defending well and resolutely - yet even with Torres on the bench I thought that the XI sent out there by Rafa should have been good enough to beat them. Was surprised that Crouch didn't start - as thought he'd be more effective against a team defending their own 18 yard box and not letting any space behind them.

Thought Torres showed his class last night vs Reading - after getting kicked around the floor and no protection from yet another inane ref he really impressed. Think it's about time Finnan and Arbeloa are given a rest - they did lokk a bit heavy legged at stages. Leto looked promising - a nice pass on him, though tired towards the end. Lucas did look class - kept things simple alongside Momo, so some more promising stuff from the younger lads too
