Hi guys! This is my very first post and I dearly hope I'm not posting on the wrong place....

anyways, here's a render on my idea of the packaging to the three original unaltered films in DVD form...

Note that it's gold silver and bronze.... and also has a pre-order limited edition gold/silver/bronze plated box cover for the

Very cool. But, it goes in the Star Wars DVD Covers thread.

I think that even if the 2004/2007 editions were packaged like that, I would snap it up in a second. That looks damn fine. Do you, perhaps, have hi-res versions of those you could post?

Welcome! Very nice covers. One suggestion would be to use the original logos, rather than the ones used for the Special Editions (even if they were on the "Faces" set).

Yeah, no insult to Coov, but the leather covers don't seem to FIT with Star Wars. I dont' think "leather" when I think Star Wars. Shiny metal and such, yeah. But the leather covers seem like Lord of the Rings stuff to me.

Although I don't see why these wouldn't be in the Covers thread. That thread gets noticed a LOT.

When you say Gold and silver plated, do you mean REAL Gold and Silver? That would be pretty pricey...

I love those covers, Lord Phillock. A metal case would be great to see in the future.

As for Coov's leather covers, I also think they are great. For the most part leather isn't something you associate with Star Wars, but Coov made it work very well.

ok those covers were supposed to be the LIMITED EDITION DVDs... and yes also a VERY limited internet-only pre-order 1000-copy SW actual gold plated covers.

Yeah, I like that other ESB one...


anyways.. I have planned to make the standard edition REstored/unaltered DVDs HAVE color on them... contra to the Gold/Silver/Bronze single hue....

And I'm right now working on the back... so everyone stay calm and wait...


P.S. I didn;t know those logos were 1997 special edition only... I thought it was the final
version of the logo. Representing the film in general, not in SE...

I've done some looking and found some paper that you could feasibly make these covers with. It comes in gold and silver, and you can just print orange on the silver first to get the bronze color.

these cover are by far the best one i've seen besides rikter's tr47 covers.

Vey nice.

If I could make one suggestion it would be to track down higher res and better quality versions of those pics and replace them. The compression ratio is just too much and as a result the quality suffers terribly. Especially in regards to ESB and ROTJ.

Yeah, that's my problem... I can NOT find any better ESB ROTJ posters... I have trouble finding things like that on a higher resolution....

I can't find ANYTHING on a better resolution...

and I'd like to see Rtiker's DVD box... I can't find it!
