Hyperspace... is it worth it??

Author

Hello,

I'm thinking of subscribing to hyperspace but am wondering if it worth it... Im in UK so I wouldn't get any of the benefits like the Insider etc and so this is reflected in the price, but my big love is the O-OT and all the behind the scenes going on etc. So is it worth it for the Non-US fans???

Yay or nay???

It's not even worth it for U.S. fans anymore. Price is going up if it hasn't already. Rebel Scumb, on this site, had a membership and he allowed me to use his ID to check it out. Not worth the money at all. Hell, I felt like I was getting gypped even though I was paying nothing for it. He has since canceled his membership (mostly due to sheer cost).

I have hyperspace, and I find it distinctly lack lustre. There' really nothing there of any real consequence, certainly not enough to justify the cost. You're better off taking a pass on it.

I really like all the extra behind the scenes stuff that I can download and watch - But otherwise - Skip it.

I'm not saying some of the webisodes haven't been interesting, but they certainly aren't worth the price of admission. In the end, the amount you pay for the service is more than the service is really worth. Unless you're so starved for Star Wars information that no price is too high, yer better off taking a pass on Hyperspace.

The only OT stuff I found interesting was the posting of the old Bantha Tracks fan club newsletters. Stupid fanboy crap, but I liked reading them all the same. But I don't feel that warrants the cost.

I came across a thread on the official SW BBS that Hyperspace Users could watch a previously unseen AOTC deleted scene - featuring an attack on a control ship by some of the minor Jedi characters, which also had a ground level shot of the dead Jedi in the battle arena.

Various posters said it ranged from great to poor, though I'd love to see it myself - I won't be paying just to see that scene.

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

Does anyone know if from now one you must have a subscription to BOTH Insider and Hyperspace, as in not one without the other?

If so, I'll get really mad and cancel my Insider subscription as much as I'd hate to do it. I don't want to be a Hyperspace member.

My stance on revising fan edits.

seen that deleted scene...
totally was a waste of time...
picture was crap... no sound... practically actors running in front of a blue screen fighting nothing...
lol

the only thing thats interesting is how much they use blue screen... its everywhere in that whole scene...
