Looks like a fun movie alright. I’ll be there for sure. The shot of Han & Chewie standing below the cockpit of the Falcon, looking up at it, has been my favorite shot in the teaser and now the trailer.
Don’t forget we’re probably seeing the Falcon in a factory fresh new car state. (Or Lando is secretly a clean freak.) Han will probably complain it’s too hard to get panels off in a hurry when making repairs and start customizing the first chance he gets.

Interestingly, it’s only ‘Han’ looking up at it in the teaser…but the same shot has included ‘Chewie’ this time around.

That new trailer looked great. I can’t wait to go see it. But that guy has absolutely ZERO Han Solo attributes. I can’t believe they made a Han Solo movie where Han will be the worst part.
Although it’s too early to say much about Ehrenreich’s performance yet, I will say that, as far as physical comportment goes, I think he’s totally channeling Han Solo’s stance.

Man, I’ll hang a pair from my mirror if they make them. I’ve been tempted by some of the sets on Etsy, but figured I’d wait for the licensed version.
Earlier this year, I looked into a personalized license plate (auto) but with only 7 digits, the obvious versions of Stormtrooper were already taken (my car is predominately white with some black areas). I toyed with a few versions that were still available with numbers in place of a letter or two, but decided no.
Regarding Malla; I’d love it if they brought that into the light and canonized it. I railed on that special for decades, but in hindsight it’s a whole lot less contaminated than post-80s Lucas. I have no problem at all with it being part of the franchise proper.

Nice one - just seen a few on etsy - decently priced (I thought they’d have pushed the prices up a bit more!)
A mate has an Renault Twizy electric car - a lot of fun and surprisingly nippy - in white and black. I’m in the midst of trying to persuade him to ‘stormtrooper’ / ‘Star Wars’ it up a little… 😃

Now that we know Enfys Nest is a woman, do we think there’s going to be some kind of big casting surprise? The only actress on the IMDB cast without a character listed is Lily Newmark, who seems to be far too young, so I have to think it’s someone else.
just watched it, and even though I’m not sold on ehrenreich’s han OR glover’s lando, i’m pretty excited.

Man, that thing is very Star Wars already. Couple of small weapons, lots of dirt, scrapes, and dents and you’ve got a personal speeder. 😉

Not necessarily. Lumpy could’ve been from a previous marriage.
The Person in Question
Based on what we’ve seen, I’m fine with the new guy as Han. It’s like people described the CG Tarkin. I didn’t buy that as Peter Cushing, but I DID buy it as the character of Tarkin.
I don’t buy this new guy as a young Harrison Ford, but I am buying him as the character of Han. He’s got the swagger, the attitude, and the charm. I can totally see this working. Granted, this is still all based on only a few seconds worth of footage from the trailers, but to quote NuHan©️, “I’ve got a good feeling about this.”
Now, I’m not yet convinced by Glover’s Lando. But we’ve seen SO little of him so far that it’s really hard to even begin to make a guess yet.
Malla is technically canon. She was mention in one of the new books. Seeing her on screen will cement it.
It seems like people are really embracing the new characters. In fact, the big question people ask me now about Star Wars is, “Are Finn and Poe gay lovers?” And really how the f*ck would I know? My second husband left me for a man, so my gaydar isn’t exactly what you’d call Death Star level quality. ----Carrie Fisher

I like this shot in the trailer a lot also. So far the film looks to have a more subdued tone than the saga portion of the franchise.
