Maybe it was a flash photo? That’s a lot of work just to erase the pages on the off chance someone who reads music can actually make it out and then play it on their Casio keyboard.

They are popular though. The Rogue One steelbook sold out day of release in a lot of places and The Last Jedi one is find in store only. I will preorder the Solo one ASAP.
It seems like people are really embracing the new characters. In fact, the big question people ask me now about Star Wars is, “Are Finn and Poe gay lovers?” And really how the f*ck would I know? My second husband left me for a man, so my gaydar isn’t exactly what you’d call Death Star level quality. ----Carrie Fisher

I’d dig the steelbooks if the artwork wasn’t always terrible (for Star Wars, anyway).

The only steelbook I own is the lame Target one for Star Trek (2009). It was on sale, and thus cheaper than the regular Blu-Ray, so I got it.

I just do not get the infatuation with steelbooks. I’ve got one or two because that was the only (or cheapest) option when I bought a movie. And they’re fine. I mean, it does it’s job as a case and protects the disc. It looks… fine? I don’t particularly like it more or less than the look of a plastic case.
But to ask me to pay extra just for the steel book package? Not a chance. And the insane after market prices to which some of them skyrocket. It boggles my mind.
I mean, really. Honest question. What IS it about steelbooks that people love SOOOO much that they sell out in a day or rise dramatically in price when you can get the same exact disc in a regular case for a normal price?

And yet, the studios keep pushing those flimsy eco cases with holes big enough for the cover art to get damaged and I end up tossing in the recycle bin for a real case. Even a pricey beast like the Halloween box set used the damn things. And good luck finding Blu-Ray cases in black to replace those with. Orange would have made more sense.
Steelbooks are to this decade what foil variant comic book covers were in the '90’s. 😛

That’s ridiculous, but probably a decision made at a local distribution level. These are Brazilian posters, so I doubt U.S. posters are being changed. I’d be interested to know if international posters for other movies are regularly altered this way. I doubt it’s just Solo.
I have noticed this sort of thing before.
And AICN comment sections are as moronic as ever.
