The only spoilers that come to mind at the moment: Episode IX will release in 2019 and it will conclude the sequel trilogy.

Is Disney really just going to hope against hope that the billions of movie-watchers who heard Snoke himself utter the phrase “Knights of Ren” in the previous film will never wonder what become of the KoR?
Edit: I ask this rhetorically because they were never touched upon in TLJ and that seems like a glaring omission from the narrative.
I feel like a lot of people’s problems with both TFA and TLJ (not all, mind you, both films are far from flawless) - and even the PT to a degree - stemmed from their expectations for how they should be instead of being open to things going down a unique path.
So know that I’m fully aware that I’m setting myself up for major disappointment two years from now when I say this:
Not at least addressing the Knights of Ren in Episode IX would be a massive mistake.

We are only two parts finished of this Sequel Trilogy - there is a reasonable chance that the Knights Of Ren may be mentioned again - or their story told - in the final part of this Trilogy.
If not - you indeed have a valid point. Until then though…

Who are the Knights actually loyal to? Kylo or Snoke? They might not take kindly to a change in management.

I don’t see any issue with the Knights of Ren not being mentioned in TLJ. There are plenty of things that are giving a passing mention in the SW films that aren’t expanded upon immediately.
Anyway, I’m pretty sure they are mentioned in TLJ - Luke says Ben and a “handful” of his students burned down the temple. I figure that’s them.
Now, would it be weird if they don’t show up at all in the ST? Yeah, it would be, definitely. But would it really be bullshit, and is it really that big an omission that they’re not in TLJ at all? No, of course not. This is another case of fans expecting certain things based on the countless speculative listicles that popped up in 2015 that gave relatively minor aspects of TFA an over enlarged importance. If they factor into the story of IX, great. If they don’t, that’s too bad, but I’m not going to lose any sleep over it.
I missed the handful of students line. The puts a different spin on Luke’s moment of fear. If they were going to undermine Luke’s school, then the end result would have been the same whether Luke freaked out or not.

Well ‘master of the Knights of Ren’ could be totally sarcastic, but I assume they’re his own friends or a bodyguard with some loyalty. The more interesting idea is whether the First Order itself will follow him blindly or not. They could explore how it functions and how they’re financed by using this idea to fill those TFA blanks… but I doubt it will happen.
There very well could be someone behind Snoke pulling all the strings. Maybe someone even the First Order is unaware of.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

My preferred Episode 9 would be Chewie dying with the Falcon, Finn dying, Hux trying to overthrow Kylo, Luke haunting Kylo, and I have no idea what they should do with Rey.
Overall, I’m not super excited since TLJ tied up so many plot threads.
They’ll never touch Chewie after the whole Vector Prime backlash. I think the author of that book is still in hiding. 😉

His name is R. A. Salvatore and he lives in the town next to mine. My dad is on the board of trustees at the local library and he saw him speak at some event they did. He said he does indeed still get hassled from time to time, but by now it’s always tongue in cheek.
Anyway, Chewie’s not going anywhere. He’s the only legacy character besides R2-D2 who isn’t tied to a specific actor.
Good to know things have calmed down for him. It never should have happened since it wasn’t his decision to begin with.
Has anyone ever voiced Threepio besides Anthony Daniels?

Everyone should die!
Except the Porgs, as they are simply protrusions into our dimension of vast hyperintelligent pandimensional beings.

In 9 we find out they were dead the whole time, this was just purgatory.
Porgatory?
Porgatory?
I’d totally watch that.
I’m having a hard time finding characters I would actively be opposed to dying in XI. If they want to kill off any and everyone, I say go for it, new and old alike.

Let ALL the past die !

APPROVED
With IX, I’m OK with JJ Abrams writing and directing the ST again but I’m not sure about Chris Terrio co-writing it. Besides the DCEU, I’ve seen Argo (2012) and Heights (2005) and they had good narratives. I guess I’m just concerned on how it’s all going to end.
