Broadband for the UK'ers out there - Advice!

I shall be moving house in a few months and shall need to get re-connected.
Currently I'm with NTL and have the 10meg broadband, but bollox if I'm paying £38 for that shit anymore. It used to be ok but now, man, I have nothing but grief.
Anyhow, anyone from the UK out there using something other than NTL that is good, reliable, hassle free and a decent price??

Many thanks

All I know is DO NOT go with Bulldog. They are absolute f**king shit, and if you have a problem (which you definitely will) getting them to help you out is like getting blood from a stone. Check out OFTEL (the government watchdog for the telecommunications industry). They have reviews and stuff about all the service providers, and you will see the Bulldog has a record number of complaints filed against them.

War does not make one great.

G'day m8

I have wireless telewest broadband (about 512kb) - 'tis ok even on my ancient laptop and does the job. Haven't had a problem with it yet, and together with the Telewest 3 for £30 package (+ telephone line rental and a basicish cable tv package) is ok for me. Think it is still unlimted use of downloads.

The old man-in-law has BT Broadband - a Voyager 105 modem - 2.2mb - very quick, easy to use, and was most impressed with it. Does need a BT phone landline though. Not sure how much he pays monthly for it though - or if there is a limit on the downloads.

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

Cheers Jason man, I'll look into it. Chances are we'll have BT when we move in, so that sounds pretty good to me.
I'm trying to stay well away from NTL, bloody rip off . I'll get sky+ and BT for the phones.
