PEOPLE SAY THAT CHILDREN GET EASIER TO TAKE CARE OF AS THE GET OLDER, BUT I DISAGREE. THEY JUST TRANSITION FROM ONE THING INTO THE NEXT. KNOW WHAT MY SOON TO BE EIGHT YEAR OLD WANTS FOR HER BIRTHDAY ON THE 18th OF THIS MONTH ??? SHE WANTS DIAMONDS. YOU READ THAT RIGHT. SHE WANTS DIAMONDS. I CAN THANK MY MOTHER FOR STARTING THAT ONE.

As the saying goes...little kids, little problems, big kids, big problems.

Right now my biggest problem with my kids is them not wanting to go to bed when I tell them to.

Ron Moore's missus was quite funny on last week's podcast - could hear Ron nearly spitting out his whiskey when she told everyone she reads the SciFi website's BSG forums every day

I think Ron had David Eick - the other producer on with him for tonight's ep - should be quite interesting to see they get on - or not!

*SPOILERS*

So, if those cruisers were so lightly manned, there are at least 44,000 people on the ground? Most likely less due to the absence of antibiotics by now, and the fact that Cloud Nine is no more? Do we know how many people were on Cloud Nine? I would think that 1000 or so people were manning the ships.

I'll havce to re-watch, but two things:

1) I believe they mentioned there being around 29,000 people in the planet colony.

2) When Cloud Nine was nuked... watch it again- SEVERAL surrounding ships were caught in the blast so great numbers could have and must have been lost. Of course Gaius dropped Roz's survivor count board... of course replacing it within the year with a portrait of himself. Ass.

Probably so DAYV. I also smell a Cylon/Cylon war coming up, what with the 'hero' models having duped the general populace into thinking one way while the Lucy Lawless models seemed to think another. Maybe Gaius *will* become the new Imperious Leader after all!

I've been waiting so long for Gaius to finally blossom into a true villain, and here it is.

I must say though, that I felt they lost a LOT of potential character stuff in that one-year gap - they've been doing these large gaps recently, and I don't like it. They're losing a LOT of character-development potential, which is what this series has always been from the beginning - a character drama. It seems like that's becoming lost in the let's-jump-ahead-to-the-good-parts attitude.

I GOT MY BSG MINISERIES AND SEASON ONE SOUNDTRACKS IN THE MAIL THE OTHER DAY, AND I MUST SAY THEY ARE FRAKKIN AWESOME. I WAS A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED THAT THERE WEREN'T ANY CD-ROM CONTENT INCLUDE ON THE DISC. RICHARD GIBBS WHO COMPOSED THE MUSIC FOR THE MINISERIES WITH HELP FROM BEAR McCREARY REMINDS ME A LOT OF VANGELIS.

There may be a fair chance of the 1st half of next season going through the stories from that missing year - relationships and events in flashbacks etc - have to hand it to Moore, he certainly keeps things fresh - and us guessing with it... it's certainly got the viewers thinking and talking

wow that one year thing realyl threw me i did not expect that at all. even after his head came up it took me like 4 or 5 sec to realise that more then a day had passed. and MAN was that a good idea. I love it i can say now with confidence that this show is nto going to be a one hit wonder, it is going to be a classic. after about the mid point of this season things were getting too, well... i donno drawn out, it seemed they were going to run outta ideas very soon, we saw that in those three filler eps them made, one with terrorist and also the scar episode. but man i love it they jsut started a band new story arch, its as thought they were saying well act 1 is over here is act 2.

as for a cyclon war, i can see that coming too, the 2 factions fighting, i can also see one of them being friendly to man i.e. this one. i'm guessing that its going to work out that this fleet that just found them was also on the run from the rest of the cyclons. its the only way they are going to be able to get all those characters off the planet, the key characters that run the ship off te planet, they ships themselves dont have enough man power to fight the cyclon fleets.

but wow just when you think the show is going to go down they go and do this, the other thing i love now is that you wont be able to predict stuff in this one from the original cause the story arch just took a huge twist.

I'm not reading the above post's anymore because I kept reading shit that was spoiling it for me, so this is probably random off the topic like, but I've justwatched the most depressing thing on tv in ages.
It was the episode where they find Pegasus. Jesus that was a 'make you feel like shit' kind of episode. Don't get me wrong, I thought it was the nuts, I love BSG - best thing on tv for a mile man, but was that an emotional ride of emotions or what? It was just out of the blue like!

Bollox till next week for part 2, I think I'll just d/l the next few tonight. Was hoping the complete season 2 box set was out by now but it looks like it'll be released in april some time and I can't be arsed to wait that long.

Oh please tell me that the next 12 or whatever episode are top stuff like tonight's. Please don't say that it all goes to shit later on. This program is just so good. Imagine if the SW tv series was made like this??
