Ever watched an episode of a TV show you like when the characters stand around saying 'that reminds me of the time..." and then they show a five-minute scene of an old episode? That's a clip show. They're usually done to ease up on the budget for a season or to give the stars a break because the episodes are something like 90% old recycled scenes.

I THINK THAT WE CAN ALL AGREE THAT WAS THE WORST IDEA EVER FOR FANS OF THE T.V. SHOWS.

yeah that is a horrible idea, thats what they did with the finale of enterprise, the bastards.

Did they? I mean, it was a flash-back episode, but it was Riker holodecking the last mission of Enterprise. So, really, while it was a cheap, cop-out, good for nothing episode, it wasn't a clip-show, because it was all new footage.

Starbuck looked hot in the flashbacks, I'll say that. Other than that, couldn't really tell. It'll be nice if someone can knock her down a peg, though.

One thing about the show that annoys me, and it's a problem in the overall sci-fi community: They make people with 1 military speciality into the greatest warriors in the universe. Starbuck is not only the best pilot in the fleet, but she's also a brilliant infantry type tactician and a master of hand-to-hand combat even to the point where she's better that the people who do that kind of work constantly. That's NOT how it works. Kind of like that show JAG (not sci-fi). The guy was a lawyer, pilot, combat expert, seamstress, professional chef, etc.

I BELIEVE THAT ROLE BELONGS TO THE MANGLER BROS. WHO WILL HAVE A SPIN-OFF SERIES, BECAUSE WE'RE TOO BADASS FOR JUST ONE SHOW.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Former "Xena: Warrior Princess" star Lucy Lawless has signed on for a 10-episode story arc on Sci Fi Channel's red-hot "Battlestar Galactica."

Lawless will reprise the role she took this season as an investigative journalist who turns out to be an undercover agent for the villainous Cylon faction. Lawless' second appearance on the ensemble drama is slated for February 24. Her arc will commence with the show's third season, which begins production in April in Vancouver.


Didn't realize Xena was in BSG. Gotta start renting those.

Yup.

Remember the episode with the blonde reporter put on Galactica after a civilian was shot by a Colonial Marine? She was the reporter. I didn't recognize her very easily either.

I was confused too - the woman in BSG could act, whereas whenever I saw her in Xena she could not.

Though maybe I wasn't paying too much attention to the acting when watching Xena...





Re the episode just shown - Scar - amazing visuals for a tv program, am surprised they don't go way overbudget in the show with all the acting talent and effects they give us.

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

Can't say as how I do. I only saw the pilot movie. Have never watched the show.

Well, my excuse was that I didn't have Space: The Imagination Station (Canadian equivalent of SciFi Channel). Now I don't have that excuse.

Well hey, I hadn't watched it either until a few weeks ago. I actually bought Season 1 on DVD four days before season 2 started on Space.

Am I the only one who thought the last two eps blew cheese? Definitely the weakest of the series so far.



SPOILERS



Apollo visiting a known prostitute any nobody else in the fleet knew about it? He's the CAG!!

Pegasus being around for about two weeks and Fisk is able to set up a huge black market operation in no time?

The flash-backs!!

Scar???

The cliched tough-girl Latina again...

Huuhhhhhhhhhh

Hopefully they get back on the right track this week.

^ and Starbuck got beat in the last ep - which is what JediSage wanted...

not too sure on the cliched tough latina girl - seems to be a pilot who is tough (like many are) - with a point to prove after her reliance on pills in the earlier episodes.

Thought the Black Market ep was a decent one - subpar for the usual heights of BSG, but got to see Lee's backstory fleshed out a little - and a nice take on the authorities view of an illegal market.

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…
