After seeing it and having most of the spoiler's I've heard confirmed, I'm still left with one question: What is the point of Gen. Grievous? I seriously can't see how he fits in outside of the tidbit given in the crawl.

Made for IE Forum's Episode III theme month - May 2005.

Oh man!!!

Notice how Palps gets all the dialog, and Padme has none!!
Looks like Palps has learnt the same moves as Yoda....Super fast movements

Well, this film is either gonna be very good, very dark...or it's gonna be very dissapointing.

I geuss we'll find out in 2 months!!

Enjoyed it though....It's 8.00 am here in the UK, and now I'm all happpy going to work

Grevious is here to introduct the idea of "More Machine now than Man" because the driods on Mustafau who rebuilt Grevious also made Vader. Grevious is what Anakin becomes, in a way.

PS. GL hired a dialog coach for Episode III.

Well...

I'm now at work...watched it a few more times and NOW I'm very excited.

So many wonderful shots are to be seen.

Anakin marching with a whole army of troops towards what I think is the Jedi temple, is well, is just so good.
Even Sonic the Yoda looks better this time round!

The beginning of the end!!

Well done George, well done!

hopefully this one works and makes the last two movies worth watching. I'm more interested in what george has planned to do next. the film is basically done. the just have to finalize a couple of effects shots and do the final mix of the picture. Grevious is curiously absent in the traler. The must need to finish up his shots.

I'm in the UK & got up at 6am to download this mother - and it made my body tingle and my eyes well up at the sheer majesty of this (and I'd seen the horid peruvian & flicker boots)

SW is going out with a BANG - it's a shame some suited hag will resurrect the franchise 4 the movie theatres when Lucas dies - but right now we are in the rush of an upcoming Star Wars film 4 the last time .... and it's gonna be a great one!

I hope this trailer will differ from the previous two - in that the film will actually surpass the trailer...

I saw an article yesterday on tf.n saying that EP3 might be the first, and obviously last, Star Wars movie to be given a PG-13 rank.
That its not a movie that you take 5-6 year olds.

Who gives a shit about 5 year olds!!

This film is made for the generation that grew up with Star Wars. Not some little shit looking for Jar Jar fart gags!!

Of course by the time my kid is 5...He'll know SW word for word...just like his sad ol' man!!

I loved the trailer last night. The thing that was the chit was I got it in HD, and the 5.1 sound was aweome! As soon as the spaceship went by and I heard it in the background, (I was laying down on the couch) I sat up and watched it sitting up. Great trailer. Loved it in HD.

The only thing that makes me a little nervous, is I remember thinking the exact same thing about the Ep I trailer, and we all know how that movie turned out.

Only good thing is GL said he thinks the film will be a PG13 rating on this weeks 60 minutes. So hopefully he won't back down and this movie lives up to the hype.

I hope Fox plays the trailer again on some other shows (please for "24"). I thought the Adam Brody Jedi fighting thing was pretty funny too!

if nothing else, at least we start to see the degredation of design in III...things getting more warlike and nastty. Quick glimpses of things like XWings and the imperial shuttle (with only half a dorsal fin??). That grittiness was so essential to the OT... and that tin foil butt prong from Naboo was unbearable.

I thought 24 was commercial-free, so you could get a full-hour...I actually don't watch the show, so I wouldn't know.
(I don't watch much network TV period. Used to watch X-Files and its short-lived spin-off, and I DVR Enterprise weekly, but beyond that...practically everything I watch is on cable.)

24 is not commercial free. On occasion, the season premiere or the season finale have been sponsored and made commercial free. Usually sponsored by Ford. But, otherwise there are commercials in the show. Time still elapses during the commercial breaks and it's timed to the second (I've actually timed it just to see). So it still winds up being an "hourlong" presentation, but we just don't see what is happening during the commercial breaks.

That's when Jack usually eats or goes to the bathroom I think. Even if he's driving along, I think he whips out a granola bar during commercial. Because we've never seen him eat or drink anything. Only this season has he ever gone to the john.

Back on topic, the trailer looks great. But then again so did the trailers for I and II. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me thrice, you must be in marketing or politics.

I like the digital heartbeat at the end. I hope that doesn't become something GL goes back and adds to the OT though to make Vader consistent throughout the trilogy. I won't put it past him.

I gotta admit that the CG did look pretty spectacular this time around. The space battles looked far more "realistic" in as much as we actually know about fighting in space. CG not as choppy or with as much of a "sore thumb" quality. But who knows how the final film will really look. I thought it was interesting that they had Vader standing there with his arms crossed at the end implying that he really does have some sort of role in this film instead of just being the end of the film.

Anyone know the running time of this movie?

I wouldn't get too excited if I were you. Don't judge a book by its cover. Just because the trailer looks cool doesn't mean the movie will be.

I'm in the camp of people that enjoyed Ep I and II, even though they might not have been the greatest movies ever, they're pretty good entertainment.

Makes some sense I suppose. Still he seems like a total gimick. "Let's have Obi Wan fight him so we can plan more awesome toys."

Some of the CGI looked kind of amertuerish too. I hope its just due to the lack of polish and these shots aren't final. I'm refering to a lot of the matting. That show of Padme crying looked like she was in front of a bluescreen, as she certainly wasn't in that apartment. That final shot of Vader also looked like a fan had did it, the Star Destroyer looked so plastic. Again, probably not finals, but Episode II had it's issues thanks to the digital photography.
