You mean the "The story of a boy, a girl and a universe" teaser with the Vivaldi music? Huh, and I thought that was Orson Welles.

I did not know Orson Welles did a Star Wars trailer, I do know he did one for "Star Trek The Motion Picture".

Amongst his many memorable acting roles, he also had the unique honor of narrating the very first trailer for Star Wars.

He also narrated "The Story of Star Wars" LP

Roscoe Lee Browne did the narrating for "The Story of Star Wars" LP. Malachi Throne did the voice over for the "Star Wars"  pre-release trailer.

OOPS. I meant the Empire Strikes back "story of" LP, not the Star Wars one

I hope my comment didn't sound presumptuous, I actually don't know whose voice it is. I was convinced it was Orson.

But now that I listen to it more carefully, the accent and delivery isn't quite Welles.

And knowing the "Frozen Peas" tape, Orson probably would've stopped after the very first line LOL

To be fair, old friend, you're being a bit hard on witches there ;)

Though hopefully the song will make the Top 10 in the music charts this week - it's already no. 1 on the Amazon and Itunes charts for the UK :)

Isn't there a political thread for this sort of thing?

Where were you in '77?

No that's for talking politics apparently.

This is for remembering the dead.

There are lots of people more deserving of having a Kansas farmhouse dropped on them in the larger scheme of things. So hard to get them to stand nice and still over a giant X painted on the ground though.

It's occurred to me that that more controversial the political figure, the bigger a memorial statue they ought to get. Those who loved the individual will be satisfied, and those who like watching pigeons poop all over it will be happy too. ;)

I find that very disrespectful.   How would you like it if a family member of yours died and people posted that about him/her.

How about giving her friends and a family a time to mourn before people bash on her.     And why is her death a time to bash her?    One can bash her anytime one likes, why pick the time that she dies?

I was reading an AP story about this and apparently in the UK it's much more common/accepted to bash hated political figures when they die.

Before you bother to say that doesn't make it right, here's a taco.

The woman wrecked millions of people's lives.

Her son hired mercenaries to try and usurp a foreign government and her daughter who only had her job because of her name called a black tennis player a golliwog.

I seem to remember when Bin Laden was reported dead someone put a picture of the Statue of Liberty holding his bloody head up.

It is sad she died in a bed in the Ritz while her policies left pensioners to die on hospital trolleys or cold because they either turned the heating on or ate.

It's sad that we have to pay ten million towards her funeral while the benefits of the disabled are being slashed.

I think that being dead is not a magical get out of jail free card for someone's actions in life.

If Ms. Thatcher had died of wounds sustained while saving orphans from bees, then I think it would be good to lay off her for a couple weeks, but still, I think she's still fair game.
