According to the timeline section of TheForce.net, the two animated series will feature new music and different plot elements. Here's the quote.

"In addition there are two installments of Animated Adventures, Ewoks and Droids. I'm really upset with these two releases. Rather than giving us the original half-hour episodes that aired on ABC back in 1985-86 we are getting reedited versions that have different music and altered story lines. To a certain degree I understand the need to redo the classic films to match the new ones, although I want the original versions on DVD as well, but for CRYING OUT LOUD IS IT REALLY NECESSARY TO MESS WITH THE FRICKIN' CARTOONS! "

You gotta be kidding me, wait, let me get this straight... They altered the droids and ewoks cartoons so they would be consistent with GL plot holes? Now how about that, when you think they can't go any lower...

They did the same thing back in 97 when they released those Droids and Ewoks videos. The new music and foley sounds just terrible, and so out of place. I was hoping they wouldn't repeat that mistake on the dvds, oh well.

okay guys im not gonna go easy on Lucas anymore...
the man is a fuckin nutcase...

he doesnt believe in his original work at all...
and doesnt even care about his fans who do....

i have no respect for this fat lonely man...
he can kiss my ass and my money goodbye now too...
cuz he just lost out on 2 DVDs i would have bought....

anybody else not buying these anymore?

I'm turning toward the Darkside man - WHY can't he just STOP.....

I mean sure It's cool to want to relive my childhood - and I've found that much like going to a Circle Jerks concert 16 years later it's JUST NOT the same.

BUT Keith Morris - hasn't change the music - shit he's done new music (I hope I't been like a year or so since I heard about the Jerks - Sept. 18th Denver @ the Ogden Theatre - MAN Their skipping here again!) since but he's never changed it - I mean he's hardly ever screwed the songs up live that I've heard and I've seen them like 40 times in the last 16 years - Really even the NEW Misfits sing the old songs unchanged???

Lucas is an asshole plain and simple...

and this just isnt about SW anymore... its about everything he is doing...
he says he wants the stooges preserved the way "he" saw them on film...
what makes that fat prick so special?
i dont care what he wants anymore... this man has to be stopped...
and if not now at least its conforting to know that sooner or later old age will stop him....

so since the original version of THX 1138 is no longer available is it okay to discuss bootlegs of that?

Speaking of Ewoks, does anyone know if the Ewok toons on suprnova are the original, or the vhs releases with the new music and foley?

VERY low quality - I got a DVDr of them as divx and it won't EVER make my list and I hesitate to even thing of the possiblity or copying it. (I really don't even know where they are now )
