The Surprisingly Strange Story of "Lapti Nek" — Page 2

Nice detective work! Let me sit with this info for a hot minute while I work out the outline for something to write. I'm a pretty big punk fan but I've never heard of Smear (unless it's somehow related to Germs guitarist Pat Smear, which I don't think it is)...lemme look into that as well. Thanks for your help here, I think this is the start of something interesting.

It's a shame I can't get a well-paying job as a "WWW Sleuth".

Thanks for the help! I'm looking forward to what might come out of this, as I'm really interested in what she may have to say.

A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.

I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

How's it going? Any ideas yet?

Definitely working on some angle for a "Jedi" anniversary piece. Will throw out more details once I've figured out the basic gist and what have you. Thanks for your continued interest!

Are you still interested in determining if Anne M. van Blaricom is Anne M. Arbogast?

I'd really like to interview her and see if she still has any Lapti Nek-related stuff lying around.

Ok, so I think this is really interesting....

But let me get this straight the version of Lapti Nek in the movie is nowhere to be found....

Is there any chance that Annie has it? Or might know where to look?

There is also only snippets laced together of

Galactic Dance Blast...

It is not a proper track, so I wonder if there are copies of the recording sessions. That would be an amazing find.

There seems like there is a lot more to this...

Ironic how Lapti nek means "work it out"

I don't buy the excuse that it was lost.. That is like saying whoops we lost part of John Williams recording with London symphony orchestra master so we will have to put different music in there now.

I wonder if John Willliams or Ben Burt actually have it? Even if not a "Master"

That was really interesting. I don’t know if this has been mentioned (I haven’t gone through the whole thread) but Lapti Nek always reminded me of the Bee Gees’ ‘You Should Be Dancing’. If I had the know-how I’d do a mash-up…!
