Whilst we are on the subject of DVD covers, does anyone have an 'ink saver' (not black!) version of the Phantom Edit 1.1 DVD case? Sorry this thread is not strictly the place for this post but I couldn't find anything after searching around.

It should be noted that I did not recompress the spine or front cover. Here are the

What does that "Analogously PHX Mastered" mean? I haven't never heard of such thing... Have you just made it up or is there officially such thing at all?

And it would be great if someone could give me the "IV", "V" and "VI" symbols made with the font that says those episode names on the spine of the cover. Because I would like those symbols on the spine as well...

Thank you.

And if someone needs some of the original trilogy DVD covers maybe I could upload them to my serverspace. I don't have them all but some. Ask if you need.

Jambe Davdar - I have a white Phantom Edit 1.1 Anamorphic West Coast cover (off Rikter's excellent SW Stuff CD). It's 3.07 mg - PM your email address and I'll try to email it you.

I would have put PHX on every cover, except that I'd already done the first 3 and so couldn't make it fit nicely... here's a look at what I've come up with for chapter inserts so far...

- oh and I might post an edited version with white text for those of you who'd prefer it.

Yay, Daniel used my own given names for the TR47 chapter stops!

(IMO they are better than their original names. That's the intent of course though.)

Can you give us a larger, printable size of those? They are better than mine and since the names are good () I'd like to print them.

Nice work DanB.

An inksaving set will go down very well here.

Any chance of doing/posting a set for the anamorphic version?

Thanks.

Why on earth there is a FBI logo on the back of this cover?

Yea but Pagz just posted it way much bigger than that. Doesn't matter if it's white text on black or the other way around 'cause I can just use 'negative' option in Gimp.

Gimp is a free image manipulation program if someone haven't heard of it... but I think everyone has

Hal, yours were the only set of chapter names I had, lol. Why should I go through all the chapters and come up with names myself? I did change some of them, but most are exactly the same. The screen-shots were taken from TR-47's DVDs, so they're not the greatest of quality - but acceptable for printing at 300dpi. I'll upload the chapter inserts at a later time. Oojason, the covers are intended to be generic. And Liteoni... I don't know... that's why I got rid of it, and fixed the problem of the empty "d" in the LucasFilm Ltd logo above.

Eh, I made my own because the ones I found weren't that good for chapter titles. http://www.prillaman.net/starwarsdvdreview-bootleg3.html
So I changed most of them for what I thought was for the better.

I'd happily print your out, Daniel. They look nicer than mine.

I understand.

As a new member I´ll look forward to receive the OT Anamorphic edtions from Rikter once he gets back from his time off.

The difficult part are which cover design to pick. I was wondering why there hasn´t been a poll which cover design the members prefer.

People will gravitate to whichever cover suits their particular tastes. I like Rikter's covers, they're really well done, but I'm not a big fan of Photo Montage covers that have become the standard for movie covers recently. I almost always prefer the movie posters, be it the teaser posters, the official one sheet, or what have you. For balance, I wanted to do that, but I also am not a huge fan of the TPM one sheet. I've always liked the ROTJ teaser poster of the single lightsaber held aloft, so I decided to see if they'd merge successfully, and they did. Then there's the back of the cover. Some people like to have descriptions not only of the film, but of what went into it, or what people said aboiut it. My personal preference is that less is more. A brief synopsis of the film, without the extraneous information weighing things done is my style. Hence, with my custom Star Wars covers, I always go with the opening crawl as the description on the back.

To my mind, all the custom covers have merits of their own, so it all comes down to what will fit best with your own sensibilities. Lots of people want ink-savers, I prefer black.

What would be cool is if someone had the space to host all of the cover designs, just set up a Star Wars custom cover depot.

Cool cover Pagz - I really like the front picture.

any plans for an Ep 2 Clone War cover?

I've been trying to think of a picture to use for it's (and Ep2's) disc label - any thoughts please share 'em and I'll try and find some.

I'll have to redouble my efforts to get MagnoliaFan's covers off him on AIM... that way we'd all have 3 choices of covers

I agree with you. Custom covers are totally up to the individual.

I prefer the cover design made by Cerbero, though. Simple and black. No colors at all besides light blue.

BTW, which design has Rikter made? Do you have a link?

You can find Rikters Covers way back on the 2nd or 3rd page of this thread I think, they're somewhere on this thread anyways, you'll find 'em if you look. I'm also into very stark, minimalist covers too, pure black, white star wars definitive logo, no pictures, very classy. Not so many people dig that the way I do, so I made this cover instead

I am working ona clone war cover right now. The problem there is, the AOTC one sheet is absolute ass. Could Obi-Wan look any gayer? The real challenge though is finding high res images. I was lucky for the last cover in that I had that sweet collectors booklet they were selling when TPM first came out, so I had a text free high res scan of the TPM poster, and the TPM logo. The internet still caters to those without bandwidth, so there's not a lot of places to find really good high res images.

Hello all,

I hope I'm not being rude to ask for something on my first post, but I'm a little desperate.

The "Faces" covers posted by Rikter on page 12 of this discussion are no longer available for download.

Rikter or anybody else would you mind posting them again? I'm missing the ESB cover and I'm

hoping that someone can help. Thank you very much.
