I would have to agree with Jimbo on this one. As funny as that SP episode was, we all know the truth that Lucas is the nutjob. And I also agree that it can always get worse. Be careful what you wish for...

The points that episode made are very similar to all the points made to verious threads on this site. At least we know both George and Speilburg are against the killing of toddlers. Its also strange the new Special Editions in the episode have more ewoks when George cut some ewoks out of the movie. What was funny was its Raiders of the Lost Ark parody. "Im gonna blow up the print Speiburg."

That cracked me up. Was it Twitch holding the bazooka or someone else? It's been so long I don't remember.

Well, I don't mind the new compactor monster. It falls into one of the 'why bother?' categories for me. It's such a quick scene that I can live with it.
Keeping The Star Wars Hoiliday Special alive. Once person at a time. Stir, stir, whip, whip, stir, beat, beat.

Yes it was (although I don't recall if the name of that character was Twitch).

does anyone know if its true that all the DVDs have leaked or is it just with ROTJ...
if all of them are out there we could get some actual videos of the trash compactor scene...

Heres another Jabba comparrison shot
As you see Jabba is much much much better looking. I wonder now why I ever accepted the Special Edition Jabba. I guess you guys have the last laugh on me don't yeah.

As this link shows Jabba in A New Hope looks his best. In my opinion he looks even better then in The Phantom Menace.

I just want to fix jimbo's links...

Jimbo Link 1
Jimbo Link 2

1. Don't use the https link generator. That's for secure servers.
2. You don't want the http:// to be in the URL twice.

Now, I'll agree he looks good, but he's still looking like a 2D CG character.
The ROTJ looks real because it is.

Yeah, it's true. Where do you think all of these screen shots are coming from?

Greedo shoots first? Not in my DVD player.

ahhh... anyone know where you can download the clips of these scenes from?

Jabba still looks bad... and i actually prefer TPM Jabba over the new ANH one now..

Not only does Jabba look better but also appears a bit bigger then the Special Edition model. Comparing them side by side show that he isn't exactly the same as The Phantom Menace. Some slight work to make him look older has been done. It allows you to see evolution to the Return of the Jedi Jabba. The Special Edition Jabba actually looks younger then The Phantom Menace Jabba. Very wrong considering it is 33 years later. 2004 edition Jabba looks as good as ever. Probably a bit better then the Return of the Jedi puppet and hugely better then that thing that was the A New Hope Special Edition Jabba.

Whatever if you feel that way. I personally like him now. Even you have to admit he is a vast improvement from before. Even Industrial Light and Magic admit that Special Edition Jabba was a hack job.

Do you have a link to that qoute? I'd love to read that admittal. Definately an improvement, but still below their efforts.

So is Jabba like a Chamelion(sp?)?
He seems to change colour with his surroundings.
Man, they just can't get it right!!

Oh, and he now has different coloured eyes too!!!
But still, he does look better than the other SE version, thats true!

The eye color is the only thing that doesn't make sense. His skin looks like a half way evolution between The Phantom Menace Jabba and the Return of the Jedi Jabba.

get it off www.suprnova.org if you have a bittorrent client..

i'll agree it looks better than the SE but man...
with all that money and those resources ILM has... they really suck when it comes to CG...
