All the cover choices are dizzying, Luke. It seems like you find one set you like, you print it out, then the next day someone else puts up another set. That's what happened this week for me, anyway. I first printed out Cerbero's Laser-Disc covers, liked them, but then I managed to get Dean's printed out and put in the cases yesterday, only to read Hal's post about how he cut and pasted a variety of covers and spines, so now I am going to be printing out my new covers this afternoon after I get off work. It's crazy!

Hey, first time post here!

I'm loving all the covers people like Dean, Galahad, cerebro, and Rikter are coming up with. You guys have a talent for manipulation, and I totally mean that as a compliment. I'd suggest that anyone who's interested in using more than one cover, do like they do with a lot of anime DVDs and make reversible covers. If you're using nice photo paper, make sure you get it right when you turn over the cover. I'm certainly planning to do it ASAP. I do have a couple questions I'd like to throw out there:

1) Are any of you rarin' to go on remakes of the official DVD set's covers? Judging by your work here and comments on the originals, I'd be excited to see what you come up with.

2) Are you using inkjet printers or color laser for printing? I'm lucky enough to have access to both and only have to pay for the paper.

Keep up the good work guys!

Thanks for all of the compliments ZombieFlanders! But Dean, Cerbero, Rikter, and the others are really the ones with the talents for maniupulation. My copies were simply copy and paste hybrids of a number of covers...nothing too special. I printed my most recent sets of covers off on a color laser printer that I had access to, and they really all came out well, so I'd recommend using that if you can. I echo your sentiments of redesigning the official DVD covers--Dean, Rikter, and the others would all do infinitely better than Lucas's designers. Welcome to the forums!

Hal, weren't you going to post your covers? I'd like to see them.

Luke Skywalker,

I'm very interested in getting a copy of your covers to use for my set. I've tried emailing and PMing you, and we seem to be missing each other. Is it possible to have them hosted again somewhere? Thanks.

Give me ALL the specs man - EVERY thing bitrate - chapter times - run time what is on the extras - are there menus - all of it.

I do have a rather full cargo hold at this time doing covers for others - but get me some spec and give me a few weeks as I'm working on a set for the Magnolia set now .

That's pretty cool, more in the style of the prequel DVDs. Of course, the official DVDs are going to have that style as well. I'm on the fence as to whether I'd want a cover like that for the Originals, or keep them totally artistically separate. Can anyone tell from the menu shots if it's one of the releases widely available or something new?

^ I emailed the bloke selling them and he says they are the letterboxed version (havn't seen menus like that before) - also told him about the ot.com and maybe he should give it whirl...
