Well, at least we can agree on that. But I'm curious, do you believe it happened or do you believe it could have happened?

Rikter,

This thread is nothing. You should have seen the thread we had here last year where someone made some really outlandish claims about the first film. It went on for like 20 pages. It had some great stuff, but I think it got purged.

Greedo shoots first? Not in my DVD player.

I think the SE edition of ESB is slightly different on video than the one I saw in the cinema in 1997. I am positive that their was an extra bit of Bobba Fett just before he escapes with the frozen han in the slave 1, he fires his blaster a few times from the ramp of his ship at leia etc and then storm troopers appeared form behind them and thats when Bobba Fett makes his escape. It made him look less coward like. And I'm positive I saw this on screen.

Yes. They are.

I remember that thread. I was basically just lurking around here then and not posting too much though.

But yeah I believe that a few prints escaped sans a scene or two. The problem with that is the only proof I found was on IMDB.com and you all know that is about as reliable as a car with no engine. My only hope was to convince you that there was a distinct possibility that a few prints MAY have been missing a scene.

Someday we may know the truth.

Yes. They are.

Umm...no they're not. The anamorphic set has the commentaries and easter eggs and the TK 47 set does not. The TK-47 set does, however, have the original PCM 2.0 track.

I believe they're refering to just the fourth supplemental disc. The commentaries and other content would be on the movie discs themselves.
The original Star Wars trilogy: Our cultural history deserves to be preserved and should be available to the public like all great works of art!

Does anyone know how to access the easter eggs on the anamorphic set?

From the menu go down to Audio Options. With that highlighted push the left button. A silhouette of Vader will appear. Press enter.

The easter eggs suck, IMHO.

Obi-Wan...you weren't kidding. Those are the WORST easter eggs I've ever seen. I couldn't even bring myself to look at the ROTJ easter egg--they were that bad.

Mine is US$12/month. Not too bad. Even get my own URL as part of the deal (they pay the annual registration fee).

Hence why I have the initials "US" before the cost.

I'm with Geocities, believe it or not. Once you move beyond the free site, they have pretty good service.

Star Wars: Episode I - Balance of the Force - MagnoliaFan Edition

NEW Review - POSTED!!

Rikter m8 - I take it that the Balance Of The Force Edits are in anamorphic widescreen - and the pic & sound quality is very high?

Any noticable cuts or bits where they've re-edited stuff?

Cheers

It's a great transfer - it's sourced from the DVD - really good guality and yes it is Anamorphic widescreen if anyone what's a sceen capture LMK!

No man this thing is SMOOTH real nice cuts and Dolby Digital audio - NOT the best mix (turn down all the rear surrond channels as they are loud) but VERY good - real clean swips and I only noticed a few scene changes.

NEW UPDATED TR47 set info

This disc MAY have some errors on it - I need to verify if it's the MASTER copy or my copy - Can anyone check their discs for me??

1 - On ESB: Is it meant to be 3 seconds of complete blackness before Leias welding scene [need time marker]
2 - On RotJ: The scene where Leia and Wickett meets for the first time and the stormtroopers shoots at them, the scene is repeated for a few seconds right when the first stormtrooper shoots from the forrest.[need time marker]

RoTJ - 1h04m00s - the picture goes black and then the scene DOES repeat itself (I never noticed it before).

ESB - 50m31s - the picture does go black for around 4 seconds before the welding scene appears (never noticed it before either).
