A message to the forum and the Star Wars fan community in general

I love this forum!

First 'Pioneers' like the Asian Bootleggers at LOOK in China, their resellers and their ilk then TR47 or his buddies made the DVDr's of the Original Laser Disc (Laserman's name will soon be added to this list ) and finally Digitalfreaknyc and I offered them on the forum either both for free or at very reasonable cost and now with all of the support we've had from all the Torrent seeders and uploaders soon EVERYBODY will have there hands on a set of the original Trilogy on DVDr - this of course will help preserve the movie that some of us watched in the theater (I was 4 and it was also my first movie - so I only really remember things like the GIANT Coke and all the cool Space battles, robots and the first pretty lady I ever saw..Leia ) or that our Dad's made us watch on their high-tech VHS or Laserdiscs every sunday.....

ANYWAY.

Just like the Farscape, Enterprise and Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda Fan's have saved those shows from obscurity.

We've SAVED the Original Star Wars Trilogy WITHOUT the help of George Lucas, Lucasfilm, Fox or anyone else it was us the FANS.

I just proud to be a member of this community and very happy to say that I've made MANY great online friends here and I hope this forum continues to grow and with all the active users and all of the newbies (welcome home guys!) we've got a strong community here now.

Thanks for being here and May the Force be with us all.

The Force is with us.

I'm very glad to have come here and found such dedicated people who want to watch the version of the SW films as they were shown back in the cinemas (or as close as) when they were initially relased.

We even have the CHOICE of an anamorphic and non-anamorphic version of the OT DVD off the 1993 Laserdiscs - and now available to anyone - wherever they live at, what IMHO is a bargain price. The more of us fans that have copies out there the better and easier it is for other like-minded fans to get hold of the pre-1997 SE version.

The many DVD slipcovers and disc-art posted here too will no doubt have come in very handy for many of us who like that more 'professional' look for our DVDrs.

I too look forward to hopefully, in time, having a dual-layered high quality DVD version of the OT.

Thank You All.

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

Yes, yes.

Thanks again, Rikter. You've indeed "saved" the OT for me, on DVD at any rate.

And yes indeed, a dual layered Star Wars Trilogy certainly is exciting. Good luck to those involved in the creation.

very well said Rikter..

all i can say is this forum is prolly one of the best places to come when it comes to information about bootlegs and the preservation of the OT!!

we must show Lucas that we will go to any length to get these movies with or without his help... and we will do it together as fans...

he may be able to take on one of us... but all of us??
dont think so..

kudos to us!

No one can stop us now.

Soon we will reveal ourselves to Lucas.

Soon we will have our revenge...
The original Star Wars trilogy: Our cultural history deserves to be preserved and should be available to the public like all great works of art!
