If it pleases the court, some of us have been lobbying for a new forum for serious (okay, semi-serious) discussion of other movies (and TV shows).

I'm not looking for more moderation... just less clutter.

It's not the silliness I'm trying to avoid.  I just think it would be nice to have the movie stuff on its own list.  It competes with the other topics in off topic.

I've gone from something of a lurker and periodic poster someone who's really made an infamous name for himself in less than a week.  I may have to slink back to my hole when all the dust settles :)

While we're on the subject of movie forums, someone should start a thread about which Batman movie is the best.

I think the "Movies/TV" forum would go in the "General Chat" section, and therefore would be as much as "Sub forum" of off-topic as it gets.

I don't think it'd be too heavily moderated (not that anywhere here is anyway) if it was under General Chat.  And even if it was, I don't know that it'd be too terrible of a thing. 

Nothing's stopping anyone from making a movie thread in off-topic still!

I started a prequel thread in off-topic a while back so people could go off-topic in it.
