Just wondering if anyone here has a decent copy of the Waterworld Extended Version?
It was first shown on USA’s ABC in 1998, repeated in 2000, then again on Encore in 2002. The Extended Version contains an additional 40 minutes than the theatrical release, footage supposedly cut against the will of the director, Kevin Reynolds.
Ooh, a laserdisc. The Cheat's playin' something on a laserdisc.
Everything is better on a laserdisc. Whatever happened to the laserdisc? Laserdisc!

MeBeJedi: Sadly, I believe the prequels are beyond repair.
JediRandy: They’re certainly beyond any repair you’re capable of making.
MeBeJedi: You aren’t one of us.
Go-Mer-Tonic: I can’t say I find that very disappointing.
JediRandy: I won’t suck as much as a fan edit.
You know of the rebellion against the Empire?
War does not make one great.

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

I noticed this aired recently on ION and it was correctly letterboxed at 1:85 to 1, and looked quite nice. Is this the same as the recently released DVD? I read a review of it (the dvd) and it supposedly has a lot of EE and doesn't look so good. It looked good on ION.
Is this topic still active?
Anyone?
Buehler?
Fan Man
I prolly still have my SciFi rip somewhere but I figured it was no longer needed.
"Right now the coffees are doing their final work." (Airi, Masked Rider Den-o episode 1)
I downloaded the two DVD set of the ENCORE presentation from a few years ago, but of course it's pan and scan. I have the recent airing from ION on my TIVO, but could use the space on the hard drive if it's the same as the official DVD. That's why I was curious. But I have no way of transferring it right now.
Best!
The TV cut is the version on the recently released DVD. You don't really have anything to gain anymore from capping a TV airing.
