A little help here...

Back at the official site, in the official SE vs. OT thread, I've been fighting a one man war.
If anybody here who supports the O-OT wants to help, please come and help me in our agrument.

http://forums.starwars.com/thread.jsp?forum=21&thread=9426&start=885&msRange=15

If you aren't a member of SW.com, please register and post in this thread and help me (us) out.

If Lucasfilm is looking at our opinions, it'll be at the official site; not here. So please come and help me out at the place where our opinions are most likely to be heard.
(Not that I'm bashing this place at all, you understand.)

(I'm Hal 9000` there, BTW)

It appears I've been banned from the OS for a week.

Now would be a great time for some people to go over there and fill in the gap in the argument.

(I didn't do anything, really. This thread: http://forums.starwars.com/thread.jsp?forum=16&thread=160501 )

Uh oh. Just posted on the site as RKO281 accidentally. I thought I was logged in using my own name which I had created, but I was logged in on a friend's account. Hope it doesn't affect that friend. If you're reading, I apologize, pal.

@HAL 9000: I'm already fighting the epic battle in the thread pimping this petition. I think we sure got quite a few signatures from that thread. Other than that, I'm not really willing to participate in an OT vs. SE discussion that is bound to derail into a flamefest ever so often, plus it doesn't help us getting more signatures, imho.

I still appreciate your spirit, though. You've helped quite a lot to keep the petition thread floating on top and arguing for an OT release on DVD. Rest assured I will hold your chair warm until your return.

I fear the methods you will employ to keep his chair "warm", MSD.

Oh, fear not Bossk. Master Sifo-Dyas will be sending his old pal and alter ego, Glubba, to do the job.

Is this some kinda whole Andy Kaufman/Tony Clifton thing?

I think it's obvious. Thanks in advance. Them people at the OS are morons.

Wow, I just visited the thread for the first time in a few days. Now, I don't know if I'm taking it too seriously, but some of those posts seriously pissed me off. What the hell do those dumbasses think they're doing? Who the hell are they to say that people who don't want this new DVD set aren't true Star Wars fans?

HAL, I'm completely with you on this one. I think I'm gonna reply to some of these idiots, but I might have to restrain myself, otherwise I'll probably get banned for flaming them and then I wouldn't be able to argue against them and tell them what I think of them.

All right, I've posted my reply. Now I just have to wait and see what they say.

What morons. I had a friend once who said that because I didn't like Def Leppard's god-awful Adrenalize album, I wasn't a true Rock n' Roll fan. WTF?!?!

Pissed me off in that instance and it pisses me off regarding SW. I'm not buying it but I still consider myself a true fan.

And I just replied again, to clear up some stuff (although that 1000 characters rule is extremely annoying). I cleared up some stuff, like explaining why I was so pissed off in my first post, and explaining that the whole "sheep" comment was directed at that idiot who said that real Star Wars fans will be excited for any version of Star Wars on DVD.

I'm waiting to see what they say now.

Yes I put another comment in too.

I think the moron you refer to is "te113" or something like that.

Well I'm gonna be gone for a week so keep up the good work for me over there at the OS.

(And if the Mods start getting mad at you, post in the SE vs. OT thread where they can't do anything since that's what it's for:
http://forums.starwars.com/thread.jsp?forum=21&thread=9426&start=1950&msRange=15 )

Bye all. be back in a week.

Yeah, te113's the guy I was referring to.

Well, have fun wherever you're going. We (or maybe just me) will do our/my best to fill in at the starwars.com message board while you're gone.
