This show is evidently ignoring T3.

This one got me too and it's still bugging me. This one seemed to be the biggest plothole imo because it's constantly referenced in every Terminator movie. Even when the rest of them came through, they had lost all their clothes and everything. Yet, somehow, a plain metal terminator head comes popping through the time hole.

Unlikely, watch the first episode and you will see that when Sarah shoots the Terminator, the head already pops off.

THEY MENTIONED THE T-SKULL IN THIS WEEK'S EPISODE. I'M SURE THAT AT SOME POINT THEY WILL EXPLAIN HOW IT HAPPENED.

BTW, IT LOOKS LIKE CAMERON HAS PLANS OF HER OWN. I'M SURE THAT EVERYBODY NOTICED THE METAL ROD THAT SHE KEPT GROM THE TRUCK.

I still don't buy that as explanation :-)

Indeed, Cameron is indeed a dubious character. Some people even think she may be a villain. Not only is the metal rod thing curious, but the whole conversation about the resistance soldiers that were send back and were killed. "they have seen me before" also might refer that she has seen them either in the future when she was attacking humans or perhaps in the present before she arrives there with Sarah (might be she killed the guys herself).

However, when the escaping Terminator scans her in episode 2, she is scanned as unknown. Why are we as audience shown this little message when she could turn out to be a villain...?

She is dubious and weird, and I know later episode will reveal more of her, including her model.

MAYBE WHEN SARAH BLEW IT UP THE HEAD STILL HAD FLESH ON IT, BUT WHEN IT FLEW OUT OF THE TIME SPHERE THE FLESH WAS VAPORIZED BY THE HEAT?
That's what I'm thinking as well.

Why are we as audience shown this little message when she could turn out to be a villain...?

Well, it could be foreshadowing, or a red herring.

She DID talk about the factory where she was made, and we now know that a terminator placed machinery there to survive the holocaust. However, was she made by the machines.....or was she made by John himself?

great episode - the future war stuff was done quite well for a tv budget

Interesting what Cameron is getting up to behind everyone's else backs

Definitely looking forward to the next ep...

I just went back and reread all my earlier comments on page one. It is funny how different I felt about the show just that short time ago. Since then I have given it a chance and now I am completely caught up. I didn't like the first few episodes, but it seems to get progressively better with each episode. Just thought to look up how many episodes there are left in the season only to discover that now that I am enjoying the show there are only two more episodes left and that Fox has yet to commit to picking it up for another season. It would kind of suck if this ends on a cliff hanger then never gets resolved. Rating are not doing so well, you'd think since there is not a whole lot else on due to the dry up from the writer's strike that more people would be watching this. Dumb rating system is a joke anyway. It would be cool if they could get a system that accurately took into account each and every household that watches/records a certian show, I bet in reality the numbers they come up with are nowhere close to the real things. Oh well. If the show does go on I think it would be nice if they stuck with short season, nine episodes feels just about right for this thing. It is not the kind of story you can stretch over too long of a season without resorting to a lot of filler. At its current pace every episode serves to move the story along, and it doesn't feel like too much time is wasted.

Really enjoyed the last two episodes of the season - I hope it gets renewed for next year

Some interesting revelations about the evolving relationships between the characters - and at the very end was most surprising with a twist

The series is dull, and they miscast probably all of them. Especially that doe eyed terminator that protects John Conner.

It is a fairly low budget TV show based off two very popular movies, you can not expect it to live up to T1 and T2. At first I had a hard time with Sarah, the actress just didn't feel like she fit, but she kind of grew on me. Again, it is a TV show, of course they are not going to have the same actors, you kind of have to kind of take it as its own without comparing everything to the films. River never bothered me, she seems to be good at the role of being creepy and beating people up, I think she makes a decent enough Terminator. And John, for the first time is a likable character you can see growing up to be the guy he becomes. In T2 he was just an obnoxious ten year old kid, it is believeable enough that five years later and after having his mom back in his life that he mellows out. I have always hated his portrayal in T3! Now that was horrible miscast! Sarah was the more interesting character of the series at the time, but we kill her off with cancer, we make John a total looser and druggy who carries a paintball gun around with him... ugh! I also always like the "no fate but the fate you make youself" theme of the first two, and of course in the third movie they tossed that out and go with the idea that you can't change the future and no matter what you do judgment day will always happen. I like that the show is back to the "no fate but..." theme.

There are plenty of dumb things about this show, but that is pretty true with any TV show. The whole idea of a T-888 being able to contain a marriage for years and have a functioning social life felt far fetched to me. Maybe if they had had the Terminator have a conversation with his wife it might have felt more natural, but the only thing we ever here him say to her are one liners, "that's not a good idea" "just finish it", also when we see the Terminator before he gets killed, he acts very Terminator like. I just have a hard time swallowing that episode. I really liked the very last episode though.

As with all new shows, they usually take a little while to find their groove, and unfortunately T:SCC was cut four episodes short by the writers strike. It took until about the fifth episode for this thing to start getting decent to me, the first four episodes just didn't have much going for them. Hopefully if we get a second season then we will really see this take off.

Sounds like this show has had the same problems "Stargate SG-1" had at it's start.

No excuse for this show to have those problems tho, it already had a intersting back story to develop from.

I think you mean Summer.

Did you even watch the movie? He broke into the vet clinic for bandages and pain killers after his motorcycle accident. If he'd gone to a hospital there would be records of his location and identification. I guess that's also the reason he didn't have a real gun.

I agree on some points but I'm one of the few people who actually liked T3.

Given that the show keeps improving I think it really would have benefited from 4 additional episodes. If it doesn't get a second season that is a horrible way to end it. I'm guessing Cromarte [sp?] let Ellison live because they are both looking for Sarah. I hope the other agent, the woman, isn't dead.

I know the actresses real name, I was referencing her character from Firefly because of the being creepy and beating people up thing. But I guess that could get confusing for any one who has not seen Firefly.

Yeah, I have seen the movie but it has been a while, guess I forgot about the crash. I think he was carrying a real gun though, but he had it loaded with paint bullets instead of real ones. It is very easy to get a real gun whilst remaining under the radar.

I just didn't think his character in T3 seemed like the kind of guy who would one day become a great leader, I really didn't like his portrayal in that at all. Plenty of other things about that movie sucked too.
