any other fans of this show out there?

last year was the original series 40th anniversary.


how about to celebrate they release all of the movies on HD-DVD like paramounts been promising.

what does anyone think about them doing a siimilar thing with the next gen that the did with tos with cgi and updating things?

While I'm not a fan of TNG any more after seeing how great BSG is (oh, Berman, what did you do to our beloved Trek?), I do think that the changes made to the original series are actually well done. Not obnoxious, and they don't change the nature of the characters or story. For example, at least we don't see a CGI Chekov being inserted into Space Seed due to inconsistencies with ST:II TWOK.
