Bond, James Bond — Page 6

**Spoilers**

So, yeah, I saw the film last night. It's fairly well-done.

I was disappointed by the film but I could see how some would like it. When James Bond makes a scrotum joke, you know you're in trouble.

Stay classy, James.

Oh...I was actually going to write a long review at that time, but then deleted what I wrote and just replied. I messed up at that time.

That's what I figured. XD

I'll probably be seeing it today or tomorrow. Likely tomorrow.

this was my worst movie going experience ever... not because of the movie, but because the projectionist was the worst on the planet. The movie was in and out of focus all the way through the movie. The frame was never completely in focus at anytime during the movie! The focus was usually fine in the lower right of the frame. But man! fix the thing already! I got so mad at one point, that I told the manager that I'd go up there and correct the thing myself!

Ok, loved it so much it's shot right up to No. 2 on my list of fave Bond films ever (just behind Goldfinger).

Ah, see my guess would have been that after Die Another Day everybody expected it to be a pile of crap, and crazyrabbits' spoiler was actually the fact that it was "fairly well-done".

Hey switch, you should call that number at the end of the credits that it gives to call if your movie going experience was not up to standards.

what I want to do is kick that projectionist in the nads and take his job.

Use the rope trick featured in the movie he ruined!

Die Another Day wasn't that bad, well, except for the titular song. Ugh.

^ thought it was a good film too (cgi ski chase and title lyrics apart)

I thought the tune was quite good - would have made a good choice of music for a Bond chase sequence or similar - but the lyrics and their delivery were limited.

Must admit I really loike the Casino Royale tune - though have no idea what it's called or who sang it

Um, invisible car?!

The title track for the new Bond movie Casino Royale is called "You Know My Name" and is by Chris Cornell of Audioslave.

Kinda like "Live and Let Die" was by Paul McCartney of Wings?!?!?!?

No, I was just saying that in case someone had no idea who Chris Cornell was. But he got a solo credit on that song, whereas "Live and Let Die" was formally credited to Paul McCartney and Wings.

Wings is the only "band" to ever share a credit on a James Bond Song. One other band got a full credit on a Bond song. Anyone know who?

There are two: A-ha and Duran Duran

^^ I stand corrected. Garbage did the song for The World Is Not Enough.

I'm assuming you are referring to performance credit and not composing credit.

*sigh* My point goes missed, once again. We'll try some analogies.

Paul McCartney is to [blank] as Chris Cornell is to [blank].

[a]Wings
His Solo Career
[c]That little-known group, The Beatles

[x]Audioslave
[y]Temple of the Dog
[z]Soundgarden

Like in the SATs, many answers could be correct. However, in the absence of an "All of the Above" option, one should be the obvious choice above all others.

By the way, did any of the Star Wars fans around here notice that, when Bond wakes up after being tortured, he's on Naboo?

I already own all the previous release DVDs but I do want to get these as the comprehensive extras and restored picture really interest me, alot of UK online companies are doing a buy one get one free offer, I am thinking of getting the Dalton ones in this offer and then get the individual boxsets (Connery Brosnan and Moore) separately, with Xmas coming up I might ask the wife for one or two....

Saw Casino Royale last night enjoyed it tremendously, was actually pretty impressed by Daniel Craig's portrayal of Bond and would put this in my top ten Bond films and am now looking forward to see how they carry the series on from this....

I follow you. The difference between the two, however, is that Chris Cornell is currently a member of Audioslave. If there were people that needed the additional info ("...of Audioslave"), chances are they don't know who Soundgarden is!
