If we're talking TOS, I couldn't tell you. If you mean all of Star Trek, I always loved that Season Three Finale/Season Four Premeire of "The Next Generation"

If your in the US, the G4 channel plays two episodes of TNG everyday of the week and on weekends daylight hours are TOS. I think they are in the 3rd rerun of the entire TNG run, so it might not last much longer.

City on the Edge of Forever.

Best
Episode
Ever

The spinoffs blow compared to the original (especially Voyager & Enterprise), and I grew up during the TNG "explosion" in the early 90's.

Does anyone remember when SciFi was running uncut "Special Editions" of TOS in the US? They were about 1 1/2 hours long with additional cast & crew interviews, etc. Was on around 97-98. Great stuff. Then they screwed it up and yanked it from the schedule.

City At The Edge of Forever is great but do you seriously think it is better than Trouble With The Tribbles?

“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

Man, I remember watching TNG with my dad when I was growing up. For me, that's what Star Trek will always be. I love TOS, but I grew up on TNG. I'll skip Voyager and Enterprise, tyvm

I personally have to agree with Sean on this one. Trouble With Tribbles was great. But City on the Edge of Forever was good too, and either one would be a great choice. I think it kinda depends on who is selecting 'the greatest episode'. Is it a viewer vote, cast/crew/writers/'experts' or just some programming executive?

The Sacrifice of Angels (SPOILER** DS9, Sisko and company re-take the station after 6 episode arc with the Dominion in charge, Dukat's daughter bites it)

Broken Link (SPOILER** Odo's shapeshifting ability is taken away)

In Purgatory's Shadow, By Inferno's Light (Worf, Garak, and Bashir on Dominion prison asteriod, Worf must fight, 2 part ep)

The Visitor (Jake Sisko ages after his father has his accident, tries to rescue him)

Endgame (last ep of Voyager)

Arena (Kirk vs Gorn, doesn't get any better)

You mean the national anthem of Zoidberg's people as learned in "Why Must I Be A Crustacean in Love?"

Funny Futurama episode. Not as good as Where No Fan Has Gone Before, though.
