Here we go again.
BTW, Jay, I've never defended Dayv's actions with the PMs. Dayv may have been doing things that annoyed you, but he clearly had the fanedit link in his signature long before this fighting broke out. I've said from the beginning I think EVERYONE involved overreacted, and I only wanted to try and keep the community of the Off Topic forum from fracturing. Just a pipe dream now, but what can you do? Still, that insult to Warbler was uncalled for; you're supposed to be the webmaster but you leveled an insult that sounds like it came from the average troll. You think that doesn't reflect badly on you?

Same here. You might also notice that I have never commented on the censorship (if anything I defended ot.com against accusations of being over-regulated), I never tried to link to the 'other place' and I never once threatened to leave (although I am a member of the other site too). Many of us have been here a long time, we have seen Jay and the way he works. Of course his recent behavior is rather different than usual. We all act differently when we are angry or upset, don't go around whinning about what a rotten jerk Jay is being. Don't complain about how he hasn't been around. Let him cool off. He has been under contant fire for the last 10 or so days. Boon like an idiot keeps jabbering on about not being able to link to his site. Maybe Jay is over reacting a bit, but I can't blame him, maybe if he was left alone for a bit he might lighten up a bit. Also the internet is a rough place to hold a conflict, an arguement that might be over in 20 minutes face to face can last weeks when it is done in text. Misunderstandings are also very easy to come by when we can only communicate in text. I have been gone for a few days, but mostly what I see here is Dayv (I like the guy too don't get me wrong) being a drama-queen, Warbler following closely in his footsteps, and boon being a patronizing ass. He never says anything new, all he does is patronize the hell out of Jay and Zion. The fire is never going to cool if every one keeps feeding it.
None of us thought badly about Jay this time last month, right? Now we are considering him a dictator? Jay hasn't changed! He is the same old Jay. If he doesn't want anyone to link to a certian site, why shouldn't we just respect that?
I know this is already a long post, but I must say one more thing. It is a little unsettling to go to the so called "sister site" and see all the same names as here. It is amazing how quickly people will abandon you for so little. If people want to be part of both communities then good, but please don't jump ship so quickly an abandon OT.com altogether. It literally feels like we are being split in two, that wont do either group much good, it is better if we all ban together. Or at least forgive and forget and try to keep the two communities as close as possible.
