Haha, whoops. No I didn't read it.
I heard on the radio that they "fired" 2 refs, though. One of them is the one that made the PK call in the AUS-ITA game . And the other is the infamous "3-yellow cards" ref. I'll have to find it on the web somewheres..
This story makes mention of one of the refs that aren't reffing anymore.

This sounds offensive and stupidly stereiotyped, even more when I my local IP is blocked by this website (accessing it from Brazil), but I have no problems reaching it through a foreign proxy (the javascript did not work though, so I can't see what it does after filling the name and number). You guys KNOW that most football players here are known for nicknames, not their actual names, right? Oh yeah, you don't.

Completely agree mate - though the thing is we both know that we would still manage to feck it up vs the French and that they'd go on and win the thing

What I love is that even though the match had techincally finished - Argentina's unused substitute Leandro Cufre was shown a red card for kicking Germany's Per Mertesacker in the melee.

Outraged at the behaviour of Ronaldo throughout, especially the "wink" - Rooney deserved a yellow for putting his arm up, nothing more.
Ricardo's "antics" before Carragher's penalty were equally shoddy gamesmanship.
A semi-good performance second half and extra time, kudos to Hargreaves (maybe bar the passing) and Lennon (see how the role can be played Beckham ?)
Lampard had the worse tournament, probably of all time !
But we never derserved to go through on today's showing, so no black arm band for me.
