no you should release them but use something similar for the Saga edits. But the covers are all up to the main people of the edit.

Lucas' decision to use photographic covers instead of traditional painted art is ill-conceived, but imagine my shock when I came across this quote at Drew Struzan's official website (as in the guy who did the art for the SE and PT posters):

Drew speaking with George Lucas – director and writer of the Star Wars Epic

Drew: “Why do you use illustration to advertise and represent your projects? Computer manipulated photographs dominate the advertising of so many studios, but you continue to loyally choose illustration….”

George Lucas: “The kind of movies I make are more fanciful in nature, more mythical in nature. To market my films, I like to move one step away from photo- realism to something that’s a little grander, a little more glorious, and something a bit more romantic than what you get with just simple photographs.”

Is Lucas just the biggest bag of hypocritical nonsense ever? First he goes on about the importance of film preservation, giving his detractors plenty of juicy quotes, and now I see this. If he truly said and believes this, what the hell would compel him to have "simple" photoshop generated garbage used for the covers of the recent dvd's?! Even worse, photoshop generated garbage that bastardizes the handmade artwork that he claims to consider paramount in marketing his films??!!

Seriously, does he have a head injury? How can one man so utterly and completely contradict himself at almost every point?

While I'm happy we have many talented folks here who provide outstanding alternative covers, it never ceases to confound me how wrong LFL gets things, and how disappointed I become when one of the greatest film series ever is treated with such contempt by its own maker, one who even DEFIES HIS OWN LOGIC!

This "stone" set for the 6 movies will be available from tomorrow, Monday.
The Blue vhs edition will be available as well.

For these releases, i was thinking about making a cover for a 4 disc in a standard amaray, to put the 4 discs of extra materials in them. If you want, just say so.

Thanks, don't get used to the design.. I'm editing it, because of the errors it causes on FF browsers..

sorry if I have "imitated" a few covers.... I didn't really even know there were similar ones out there....

and if you would like a super-larger version... I can say I don't have one... I made the covers in a small format...
unfortunately....

but then again I'll just make the same thing only bigger to be able to print.

Terribly sorry if this is off-topic, but what are the recommended covers for the ADM extended editions?
Also, wasn't there a cover set for the Definitive 4 Disc set that had "Bootleg" across the spines when you put all 4 together?
And was it for the Cowclops, the Dr. Gonzo, or which edition?
Thank you all very much - I've had a great time agonizing over which cover to use for the various editions!!

I'm pretty sure that cover was available in the first DVD Cover torrent at MySpleen and that Rikter is the one responsible for it (could be wrong though).

To contact me outside the forum, for trades and such my email address is my OT.com username @gmail.com
