OCP have you ever thought of attempting a classic version of TPM and AOTC(film versions)? With your art and editing skills that would be something well within your capabilities.

Hello, I just found out about this set a few days ago, I torrented them from myspleen and they look fantastic! The cover art is very cool too. Good work!
I actually liked the SE DVDs, I thought the new effects (most of them) were pretty good looking, but I have never seen any of the original theatrical editions, and this looked very promising. Since I never saw them in theatres, I shouldn't judge, but great job of un-SE-ing!

My classic edition of TPM and AOTC would be to take your DVDs and break them in half. That would be fucking classic.

I will do this for a fee.

Jesus H christ wrong time of the month or something? As for your offer I don't own the PT dvd's so I guess you'd have to buy your own to do that.

I have no interest in TPM or AOTC. They are terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible films.

I did a so-called 'Phantom Edit' back in 99 .... which never made it to DVD. And never will.

That said, I understand what Lucas was trying to do with his prequels. It's just that he was rusty, hadn't directed a film in a long time, and hadn't directed a film well since American Graffiti, which was a small scale piece suited to his then talents.

There are many parts of Clones that are interesting, and a few in Menace also, despite the piss-poor editing.

But they aren't of enough quality to stand alongside proper works of the Star Wars galaxy, like, say, The Star Wars Holiday Special.

Was that sarcasm OCP, or are you seriously the one who did the Phantom Edit???
Yes, I've been lurking forever.

The original edit of TPM could probably be re-created quite easily. The Japanese LD was the theatrical cut and had a powerhouse 5.1 track and an awesome PCM track which could be used as a guide.

Neil

Well at least the reversed surround channels have been addressed.

I believe a transfer of the Japanese LD is in the works by someone around here.

Is Sweden NTSC or PAL? Either way, yeah, if a disc is reigon free, it can be played in any player.

BUT remember that you still need to have a tv that supports NTSC even though the discs are region free.
OR have a dvd player that converts NTSC to PAL on the fly. in such case, it is very likely that that dvd player can be made region free...

You know, I don't know if it is the torrent program I use, but every time I've tried getting this from MySpleen, I get an error message, saying that something is corrupt. Anyone else had this problem?
