Yeah I'm also lookin for the Ep II.V Clone Wars set. I never got around to seeing more than a few eps of the show and would love to see it in its entirety like ADM has done for us. I checked myspleen and can't seem to find it on there. Any advice? PM me or reply to this. Thx in advance!

Just watched Return of the Jedi 2.O Clone Wars and The Hybrid Edition of Star Wars, and have to say they as great if not better than your other saga edits, I really liked the choice of scenes you chose for the montage in Jedi 2.O and the Hybrid Edition was superb, that really is the definitive Special Edition version of Star Wars, so thank you and DE for your edit(s) and a bit thank you to the person(s) for getting these edits to me, and am willing to pif to anyone who wants these great edits.

Just watched some of ROTJ v2.0 DL. Does anyone else notice flickering from time to time on it? It's especially prevalent during the end montage of Anakin and Luke's life. It seems to happen just before every cut, but it happens during other scenes as well. It also seems to happen at other points in the movie, mostly toward the end (though I haven't watched it all the way through yet). Interestingly enough, the flicker doesn't show up when I play the DVD at 1/16 speed (I was trying to catch it since I thought it might have been leftover frames or something).

My DVD player is a Cyberhome CH-DVD 300. I burned it onto Verbatim DVD+R DL, once at full speed (8x) and then again at 2.4x. So is this just me or what?

Some players do this. My Apex is notorious for it, so your Cyberhome probably is in the same boat. I didn't notice it so much on this as on Ep II, but your description sounds all-too-familiar. I think it has to do with the cut GOP structure that did the frame-accurate editing w/o recoding and how certain chipsets interpret that unexpected info on the fly. Not all players do this, and those that do, do it to varying degrees.

Computers, of course, render it perfectly. In the words of Tony Soprano, "whaddayagonnado?"

When I get my HTPC built, I'm gonna watch it on that

I'm just glad it's a known issue. I'd rather have it be that so if anyone asks, I can give them an explanation, rather than saying "I have no idea. It's always done that and I don't know why".

ADigitalMan, I've experienced similar flickering on an edited DVD I made (on the standalone only). Is there a way around this GOP structure stuff-up?

If you convert all of your MPEG stuff to AVI, edit in that, then re-compress to MPEG, that should solve it. Unfortunately it requires a TON of hard drive space, extra time, and more expensive software. For me, the infinitessimal gain isn't worth the expense.

boba feta, I was just wondering if you'll be updating the cover (or at least the back) for ADM's ROTJ to match the updates for v2? Gotta use up some more ink, y'know.

Also, I just got a 20-pack of dual-layer DVD+Rs, so if anyone's interested, PM me. I'm also looking for the DL versions of ADM's ROTS and ESB if anyone's got 'em.

I'm wondering if anybody can help me out. I seem to have deleted the Video_ts files and all the VTS_01_0 files for ROTJ v2 single layer. Can anybody email me those or post a small zip file. I shouldn't have deleted those RAR files so soon after the unzip.

Most people have to pay to use newsgroups. Most providers are monthly subscriptions but some - ie Astraweb - are pay as you go.

The cost there is 90GB for $25 or 25GB for $10. The 90GB package works out at arond 20 SL DVD downloads and costs less than the price of beer for a night out.
