Absolutly awsome work Sky_! Id say right up there with Coov's designs for being so damn cool! The ones on the left would go easy on the printer ink as well. Cant wait to grab the final vertions of them.

I got my copy of building Empire yesterday courtesy of oojason and gave it a quick run through. First impressions are excellent and I can't wait to watch it properly - this is how the official commentary's should be.

Sky, those covers are EXCELLENT and I definitely want one of them for my copy of building empire. But maybe you could do one using Jambe's building empire logo?

War does not make one great.

Sky_ & Sluggo - those are some seriously great covers, - and even better - they won't eat into my lowly black printer ink

Jambe,

I enjoyed BE so much I actually forgot to mention it, but I had that aspect ratio problem as well (on a 4:3 display). Should be an easy fix, though.

Yes, the trailers do have sound.

If you haven't done so already, it might be worth you dowloading Quicktime 7.

Just be aware that the trailer was made quite early on. The title of the project at that time was the rather cumbersome 'ESB: A/V Commentary'.

By the way Sky, fantastic work. I just love those covers. I am definately having one of yours for my copy of Building Empire!

Jambe, the disc arrived back at my home in Pittsburgh, but I'm back at skool now. I'm having my family forward it to me, I'm very much looking forward to watching it!

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

I've just watched this. I'm glad that you did this instead of me - you thought of a million things I didn't know, didn't have, or would never have thought of. I was constantly impressed. Sometimes awed. Constantly wishing I'd had that Super 8 audio when I was doing my Classic Edition cut. I would have included a lot of it in my version - while watching I found myself seriously considering revisiting my ESB classic audio and redoing it.

I have a large amount of issues with this film, though ... I found myself taking notes while watching it on what had been done wrong. I suppose it's no surprise that I should have strong opinions - I was going to do this one myself, of course, and my thoughts are left over. You've made some crucial errors at crucial moments.

You had offered me a pre-release copy at one point, and I REALLY wish you'd let me see it before showing it to anyone else, as I could have helped you out with a few areas that you had trouble with. During Deleted Magic, I was constantly conferring with Mark Sluggo Johnson, who came up with a million things I never would have.

I believe this is a brilliant production, and with some easy fine tuning could have been perfection. I can list my thoughts, but I should ask this question first - is it still possible to make changes to the film? Do you still have the files on your hard drive? Can you retrieve them from backup? Anything?

Yes Ocp it's all on my hard disc in FCP ready to be altered. I would like to hear your thoughts/suggestions. I am interested to hear what you regard as 'crucial' errors. One tends to go a little ' snow blind' after working on something so long.

As I said to everyone, I would love to hear your thoughts. Particularly as so many people have sent me footage etc. This project is also on-going and I would love to get a version that almost everyone is happy with. Lets face it, this thing hasn't really been 'released'. Any crucial errors can easily be corrected as I doubt they are very fundemental.

You had offered me a pre-release copy at one point, and I REALLY wish you'd let me see it before showing it to anyone else

The reason I didn't send it to just you, is because I think everyone should be given an opportunity to have an opinion on it. If truth be told, given that I invested so much time, money and effort on this, I truly wanted my own authorial stamp on it first. I also just wanted to get a version out there as the stresses of work, family life and Christmas were taking their toll at the end of 2005. Luckily things have chilled somewhat and now I am ready for a further challenge.

Furthermore, since you said you were not going to do Deleted Empire and Jedi, I was happy to go ahead and create projects of my own. These projects are not Deleted Empire and Deleted Jedi. They are very different and it is certainly not my intention to sully your reputation. I may even go on to do a Star Wars project to complete my trilogy. What I mean is, you don't need to feel as if you have a stake in this project. I was planning something similar for some time, Deleted Magic just showed me that it was possible and that there was a 'market'.

Anyway despite all that, I am confident that with your suggestions we can get this thing near perfect. And then I can upload it for everyone to see. Lets not treat this as a missed opportunity!

I was going to make some spacesaver/inksaver cases for various Star Wars DVDs, was wondering if the "Building Empire" logo is available as an eps or hi-res jpg file anywhere. Thanks in advance!

Hi, everyone. I'm new to the forums (though I've lurked for a while).

I love OCP's "Deleted Magic," and Jambe's "Building Empire" sounds great. I would love to get a copy of B.E.

I don't have a DVD burner. If anyone were be willing to help me out, I'd really appreciate it. The work and dedication of the SW fans here always amazes me.
