Alien Earth

The first two episodes played last night. Did you catch them? What are your thoughts.

I thought the first episode started out good, then it bogged down and redeemed itself toward the end. I supposed it was due to setting up the characters and back story.
The second episode, wow, it was fast paced and kept my interest. It ended too soon.
I will have to rewatch as I kept trying to compare the sets and the effects with the films. I do believe if they continue like the 2nd episode, it will be a hit.

I am really enjoying it.

From a fanservice POV I think one of the characters is a callback to Roy Beatty and subtly tries to bridge the Bladerunner-verse with the Alien-verse. Like same model of robot just a different series or refinement of the basic product.

I am finding very little about it on social media and I was fairly undecided going in- I really like it. Am disappointed that I am not finding more people to ‘‘nerd out’’ about it with.

I am wondering if others who watched the first two episodes got a vibe that the captured critters, some of them at least maybe have some sort of telepathic ability? Maybe to lure hosts/prey/lunch into a false sense of security?

I want a backstory series about the eyeball kid.
