This is a welcome surprise. I used to love watching the original with my dad growing up.

I’m just a simple man trying to make my way in the universe.

Star Wars has 3 eras: The eras are 1977-1983(pre Expanded Universe), (1983-2014) expanded universe, or (2014- now) Disney-bought version. Each are valid.

My movie reviews aren’t AI, they’re just written by someone who’s Neurodivergent. If you don’t like them, then simply don’t read them.

I’m not the biggest Spaceballs fan. I’m mostly in this to see Rick Moranis in something again (I wasn’t yet ten years old when he did his last live-action performance, for crying out loud).

Gods for some, miniature libertarian socialist flags for others.

Mel Brooks style of humor isn’t for everyone. I never much found his films to be all that funny, except for blazing saddles which had me laughing so hard I thought I would rupture my spleen. My mom was a fan of Young Frankenstein and used to quote it all the time and we watched it on tv, but i never laughed at any of the jokes. I may have smiled at one or two. And me and my friend Victor were fans of Spaceballs, but I recently watched and i can’t recall why. We watched that far more than the actual film. Though we both we stunned to see Empire and to watch Luke get his ass handed to him.

Its only as a teen revisiting the SW trilogy that they grew on me except for ROTJ, which was my favorite, but in time I see all the flaws. The teddy bear movie me and my Tomboy sister used to watch until the tape was watched so many times.

And i can’t forget all the times my brother played Vader and i played Skywalker and our mock duels it’s a wonder someone didn’t get killed.

They better call it Spaceballs 2: The Search for More Money. Otherwise what’s the point?

All his life has he looked away… to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. Hmm? What he was doing. Hmph!
