Millennium (1996 FOX TV) DVD Restoration/Upscale Project (RELEASED) — Page 5

My “statement” about the project:

Project finished Sept. 6, 2024!

In 2022, I managed to acquire a 1080p MILLENNIUM upscale project from a user named “TVArchive” at originaltrilogy.com before he disappeared from the forum. After seeing the lack of quality in the Chinese collection from eBay, I finally decided to make a Blu-ray set.

  • It is a 12-disc BD-50 set. 4 discs per season.
  • There are no subtitles.
  • The audio is from the official DVD’s.
  • The aspect ratio is correctly maintained.
  • The X-Files S07E04 “Millennium” is included as a bonus.
  • All files have been tested and burned with ImgBurn.
  • The ISO’s are region-free and will play on any player/console that can play Blu-ray.
  • Total size: 453GB.

It’s really sad when the “creative minds” behind something we hold dear are also guilty of its destruction.

I have shared it at MySpleen. That’s the best I could do.

Someone just put the full Season 1 Upscales (145GB) on 1337, if anyone is looking for it. Hopefully the others appear also. It is insane how much Mr TV Archive got out of the DVDs.

I can confirm all 3 seasons are now on 1337x with active seeders.

Gonna have to buy a new portable HD just to download, plug and play. This is a lot of data! It is the Blu-ray upscale.

Wow, that must have been a lot of hard work! The series definitely deserves this better treatment…I watched it when it originally aired and LOVED it. I’ve always been a little baffled as to why it never gained greater traction, especially being, essentially, a sister series to The X-Files. IMO, Lance Henriksen & Terry O"Quinn, together, is TV gold…plus, it had CCH Pounder, who I very much enjoyed on NCIS_ New Orleans. I bought a DVD box set some years back, as part of an Xmas gift for my mom. it did come off E-Bay but there was nothing Chinese about it…purchased it from somewhere in the U.S…seemed to be pretty decent quality, at least, as far as my mom was concerned [she was in her mid 70s at the time, so not too picky about such things]. Too bad there are so many outstanding shows out there that warrant remastering but are held back by copyright laws…Cold Case & Midnight Caller come to mind. Anyway, I applaud you on your considerable efforts…hope the result was everything you wished for…I’m sure it will receive some marked demand from members on on this forum.

Thanks for all the kind words about my old “Millennium” upscales. I’d still be here sharing and contributing, but someone decided to take those encodes - that were meant for fans of the show - and sell Blu-Rays on Ebay. While I enjoy upscaling things that will never get an HD release, and have upscaled dozens of series since, I hate that there are greedy people who take something meant to be shared and try to profit off it.

Cheers to the good people here. I know you outnumber the bad ones.

:sad face:

That brings to the forefront my wariness when it comes to putting finished project stuff out there (enough such that I’ve just indeed kept my stuff unreleased).

LightWave = fun times with gfx for me 😃
