Has anyone done a"despecialized "Full Screen fan edit of the OT in dvd or blu ray quality ?

I know it may seem odd to have a full-screen edit , and I always advocate for preserving the original intended cinematography, but I sometimes like to watch full screen dvds on my projector really big . I know the sides get cropped off but the image is also zoomed closer , making actors etc appear larger , which I think makes for as close to an "imax " like presentation as one can get at home . Plus I’ve been experimenting with overlays in vlc which work in interesting ways with 4x3 content. If anyone knows of such a project out there , or in the works , please let me know

I’m not sure anyone has done a 4x3 project in HD - though some of the full screen 4:3 ‘Laserdisc-to-DVD’ preservations may be of interest, mate?:-

It may be worth asking in Star Wars Preservation if anyone is interest in asking such a project - or knows of one already?

Good luck with it, screams. 👍
