Hey! Been a Star Wars fans since 2015. I got into the franchise when I was a teenager because of the release The Force Awakens. I have alot of fond memories from that era. Star Wars mania has never quite felt the same since. I can proudly say my first experience watching the original trilogy was indeed the Harmey’s De- Specialized editions. Preserving the original trilogy in its entirety is important and I love that fans have been so passionate enough over the years to ensure that was the case. Excited to check out 4k77, 4k80 and 4k83!

Howdy. Long-time lurker looking to join in on conversations, particularly on Discord. I’ve been following fan projects on other forums and on MySpleen for years. I’m a big OT fan but enjoy other classics like Alien, Blade Runner, and '89 Batman too.

Hey everyone, hope you’re all doing well. I’ve been checking this site out for years now looking at project 4k77, the despecialised editions and so forth, so I decided to finally join in. I suppose the easiest way to introduce myself is just to drop some of my favorite Star Wars stories . (This order is by no means definitive)

  1. ESB
  2. ANH
  3. Andor
  4. Rogue One
  5. ROTJ
  6. TCW (2008-2020)
  7. ROTS
  8. Jedi: Fallen Order
  9. Darth Vader by Charles Soule
  10. Clone Wars (2003)

If anyone wants to discuss SW or anything else, my DM’s are open 😃

Hello! I grew up watching the original trilogy on VHS (original theatrical cuts). Those will always be the definitive versions to me and it irks me that there is no official release of those versions in HD. I created an account here because I heard this was the place to potentially get versions of the originals in HD; either via the 4K77 project or Harmy’s editions… I don’t know much about how these two remasters are different but would love input from the community…

I do own the Star Wars blu-ray boxset (all six films); so can verify that if I need to…

Hello there !
Born in 1977 — the same year the very first Star Wars hit the screens. Coincidence ? I think not !
I’m French and have been living in Japan for 18 years (yes, I really like sushi).
My English isn’t perfect, but I promise to try hard and only confuse you a little — no need to call C-3PO for translation… yet.
Thanks for reading, and may the chat be with you !

Hello everyone! New user here, but have been a lurker for quite some time.

My introduction to Star Wars fan edits was through Adywan’s wonderful Star Wars: Revisited. I have also seen Hal9000s edits and that has driven me further down into the rabbit hole.

I have been a Star Wars fan since I was about 6-7 and have seen all the movies, handful of Clone Wars episodes, Rebels and all of the current Disney shows, minus Skeleton Crew.

I am happy to be here, and hope to chat with you all soon. Thanks!

Hello my name is Austen,

I have heard just recently of Hal 9000s edit and this what brought me here. Now I’m being introduced to a whole new world of fan edits and the whole thing is so overwhelming but so cool all at the same time. Love the Star Wars universe but would love to see it in a new light. Great to meet everyone.

Hi OT crew!

My name is Owen. I’m a recent college graduate and now full time worker in a new city figuring out what to do with life outside of work.
In college, I sponsored 4 or 5 small groups for watching movies and discussing them (with no expertise on film making or anything like that) purely for the love of the game.
So naturally I was bound to fill some more weekends and nights with them eventually, and recently thats been Star Wars thanks to Episode 3’s return to theaters!

Since then I’ve been catching up on all that the universe and fandom have to offer, including memes, cosplayers, watching the rest of the OT and Prequels, The Clone Wars shows, and Andor. It’s like being a kid all over again, but now with greater ability to appreciate the art introduced to me piecemeal as a child.

My first experience with fan edits was the M4 Hobbit edit, which for me really captured the wonderful story lying within the Hobbit Triology. And recalling that prompted me to look for fan edits of the Prequels, and the Sequels which I wasn’t huge on as a normie in HS (but I have hope for them yet!).

That’s all led me here to learn more about the fan edits that exist, and in addition to that I believe I’ve found a new place to nerd out over the stuff we all enjoy!

Hope to chat with you guys soon! (Please forgive my long windedness as well haha)

Greetings!

I’m a long-time lurker finally taking the plunge to join the resistance (pun intended). I probably won’t post much, but continue to lurk and read extensively on various projects progress.

I was 7 when Star Wars A New Hope was released in the theaters. It was the first movie I ever saw in the theater and I was hooked immediately. Sadly, I’m disappointed in the prequels and sequels. I hope things turn around somehow, but until then I’m very glad to have found a place where talented individuals are striving to make something better.

Hi,
I’m a French Star Wars fan (but I do understand English if needed). Also a scientist, gardener and musician. Like many, I discovered this universe when I was about 7 or 8 years old, and it has been a passion ever since. Now, I’m introducing Star Wars to my own children, starting with the original trilogy.

However, before moving on to Episodes 1, 2, 3 and 7, 8, 9, I’m considering showing them some fan edits-to avoid unnecessary or confusing parts, especially in the sequels. I also really enjoy Andor (a masterpiece!) and quite like The Mandalorian.

I’m happy to join this community to expand my modest knowledge of the Star Wars universe and learn more about all the fantastic projects here 😉
Cheers!
