There’s tons of Star Wars ripoffs that have blu-ray releases like Starcrash and Battle Beyond the Stars. Hell, even Turkish Star Wars got a limited release blu-ray. They’re fun to watch and laugh at. And yet, no “Han shot first” in HD. Maybe they’ll finally put it out on its 50th anniversary? Fingers crossed.

I don’t think Star Wars is a possibility, the next Lucasfilm will probably be THX 1138 in 4K from the cgi George Lucas directors cut.
And like Universal’s horrendous version of American Graffiti I don’t think Warner Brothers will do it justice.
We have The Flintstones in HD but not the unaltered cuts of the Original Trilogy.
Any way to watch the original trilogy is valid, but the way they were released in the theaters is the best way to watch it.
Yeah but those are like mainstream movies with A-List actors in, not some kind of obscure cult favourites for people that know who Moon Lee and Yukari Oshima are. SW77 may be out on Blu-ray before Dreaming the Reality… but I wouldn’t bet on it.

Flesh Gordon - the 1970’s sex comedy/parody, is also out in HD on blu ray.

We have 1990 TMNT restored from the negative the Golden Harvest movie. We have Lost in Space 1998 in 4K, we have Jim Carrey’s the Mask in 4K.
I hope the 50th anniversary of SW is not just a theatrical one time only thing.
