Terrible songs that you secretly like... (aka the all-to-brief OT.com boyband thread)

 (Edited)

C’mon people, it’s time to own up and admit just how bad some of your secret musical tastes are…

I’ll go with 2 for starters:-

Bananarama’s ‘Cruel Summer’ - typical '80’s crap thunk poptune

&

William Shatner’s ‘Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds’ - just so cringeworthy awful I enjoy listening to it

A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

A Project Index for Star Wars Preservations (Harmy’s Despecialized & 4K77/80/83 etc) : A Project Index for Star Wars Fan Edits (adywan & Hal 9000 etc)

I don't know if this counts or not, but I kinda like that crappy love theme from AOTC.

Is it wrong to enjoy Roxette's Almost Unreal?
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

Red heads ROCK. Blondes do not rock. Nuff said.

Yes, I gotta say the village people did some neat songs. If you, you know, ignore what was behind them.

I also like ABBA. And, of course, the one I'm proudest (or more embarassed of), Electric Light Orchestra - yes, even with the Xanadu soundtrack.
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

I love Cruel Summer and a lot of ABBA's songs

Also Toy Soldiers, 99 Luft Balloons, and Karma Chameleon by Culture Club (hanging my head in shame).

Backstreet boys - The Call - Shit but catchy

But then again I'm renowned for having a shit taste in music.

Do love Dirty Vegas though - Seems I'm the only one who's hearfdof them in the UK!

Oh, and, of course, everyone's guily pleasure that NO ONE is going to admit: Bee Gees. Come on people!

But I'd only put the Bee Gees on this list if they were terrible. I suppose that's subjective, though. They're definitely in my collection, along with the Beach Boys!

Bee Gees, ABBA and ELO do not deserve to be on this list. These bands were staffed by some of the finest pop tunesmiths of the latter half of the 20th century.

Back on topic (after stepping off the soapbox): here's a bad song everyone can agree on and still love

(wait for it)

"Da Da Da" by Trio.

Admit it; it's stupid, but it sticks in your head. And how about "Mr. Roboto" by Styx?

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

"Stayin Alive, Staying Alive!"

I can't take that movie seriously since I saw the movie Airplane.

Oh yeah, right you are - Death in Vegas, Dirty Vegas, you can see where I went wrong. Anyway, that dancing video was quality.

Another guilty musical pleasure of mine is my Best of Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince CD.
