They all sound great to me except for “What if he doesn’t survive?/He’s worth a fortune to me.” which still has quite a jarring change in tone between the two sentences.
Here’s what things sound like with some help from danieldubb, who gave each clip some treatment to hopefully sound more like they came from the same source. The same weaknesses are still here, but the question is whether this seems worthwhile overall to use in place of the 2004 dub.

I haven’t watched over the original sources for those in a long time, and I thought that one felt natural enough.
Hate to admit it, but it’d make a lot of sense for a Special Edition version that is revised to accommodate subsequent development of the story to trim the line, “I don’t seem to remember ever owning a droid.”
I wouldn’t want to take more than a cautious step or two down that slippery slope. But what would you all think about such a change?
(While thinking about people not recognizing R2, I’ll just say that in my headcanon Obi-Wan must recognize them but Yoda doesn’t. And that R2 and Yoda had never met, adjusting anything in TCW to fit that idea.)
I seem to recall somebody making that edit. I think all he’d say is “Hmmm, very interesting” and you’d cut out the bit about never owning a droid. That way he’s neither confirming nor denying, and trying not to overwhelm Luke with information.
Would anyone with access to software to adjust speed of footage in a way that looks good be willing to try adjusting the speed at which the opening STAR WARS logo for ANH recedes from the camera in the 19SE version? I was able to contrive something when working from the 2011 version but it’d be better to use the 19SE. I can provide the footage and reference.
Eh I’m against cutting “I don’t seem to remember ever owning a droid”. Optional audio-only changes are one thing but outright cutting out segments of the original Star Wars feels like sacrilege. Conservatism is one of the strengths of these “Custom Special Editions”, and at the point where we’re cutting lines to smooth over retcons, I’d rather be watching something based on Revisited with its myriad other changes.
Go the whole hog and make it fit with the PT by changing the line to “I seem to remember owning a droid.”

Hi guys, not to throw a spanner in the works but Jedi aren’t allowed personal possessions perhaps that’s why Obi says he doesn’t recall owning a droid also in the PT in Episode II he uses R4 and in the beginning of episode III. Just my 2 cents anyway, I love your Special Editions that almost wasn’t but then was and they are my go-to even over Adywans 😮, sorry to upset people with that one but it’s true.
Take care guys 👍.
Yeah, Octorox, I’m with you. I admit that it would help continuity, but isn’t something I want to do. So I won’t! The current Hal9000 saga excuse is that Obi-Wan just doesn’t regard droids as anything special.
I do wonder if that was Lucas’ intent behind lines like “if droids could think” and “flying is for droids” in AOTC, to sort of account for his lack of recognition or care about R2 and 3PO showing up in ANH. That’s my read of it, anyway, even if it seems to have fallen by the wayside along with other things by the time of ROTS.
Not to mention that Obi-Wan has a track record as an unreliable narrator. I wouldn’t take anything he says at this point at face value.
Luke, you’re going to find that the truth about whether or not I ever owned any droids depends greatly on our own point of view.
I imagine one day once Luke knows the full story of the droids, he’ll again ask, “Ben, why didn’t you tell me?”
“Luke, I did not own the droids. So what I told you was trueeeeee, from a certain point of view!”

This is the way.
I’m afraid that after even more work from myself and danieldubb, the “What if he doesn’t survive - he’s worth a fortune to me” line from Battlefront II just isn’t cutting it. It’s a better delivery, but can’t be made to mesh.
“As you wish” works beautifully, and will be used in any event. It is spoken in a different part of the movie so I don’t think it needs to sound identical. It nearly does anyway, though.
The only question now is whether to go with the 2004’s Morrison delivery of, “He’s no good to me dead.” Or to use a sentence mixed partially from Battlefront II of, “He’s not worth anything to me dead.” Here are both for your consideration. Let me know what you think.

Personally I thought the last “what if he doesn’t survive” test sounded good enough. It’s not perfect but it’s definitely a better delivery and if it were in the movie from the beginning I don’t think I would have had an issue with it. It’s definitely preferable to do the 2004 dub in any event. I also prefer the “he’s not worth anything to me dead” delivery.
So how soon could the next update to these be released?

ANH is waiting on Dat_SW_Guy’s project, but the slight audio update to the others could be put out soon but I’d like to wait a little bit to see if anything else presents itself for them first.
So, there was a pretty good Boba scream that could be put into ROTJ from the Book of Boba Fett’s finale. I don’t remember what the timestamp was though. 😦
What event or moment do you have in mind?
Maybe this site could help to recreate these Boba lines. I just don’t know if the tone will be right:

Not sure it’d be totally usable, but this ain’t bad!

Too bad it doesn’t seem anyone here has used Respeecher. It’s the AI voice software that recreates your voice recordings through the voice clone, using data clips. It was used to make Mark Hamill sound 30-40 years younger in the Disney+ shows.

There’s been some discussion in the Monthly Thread about possibly pooling together money for a month’s worth once everyone has all of their source files ready to go and doing all of the lines everyone needs at once.

I can send some files for you if you want, as I think my project is still at a snail’s pace as it were last time.
