Hello!
I’m a huge fan of Cobra Kai, but there are some bits I find hold it back. This will not be a super heavy edit, just minor changes here and there.
My goal for this edit is to trim:
Flashbacks (to the original trilogy and scenes of previous episodes)
Comedic Relief Characters (Louie, Anoush, Stingray, Brucks, etc.)
Product Placements (only if they are a point of focus or forced-feeling)
Cringey Scenes or Lines (obviously subjective, but maybe you’ll find them good cuts too!)
Season 1 Cutlist
Episode 1
- moved Johnny as a kid discovering Cobra Kai scene to beginning of Ep1
- removed the “shitting in the powder room” lines
- removed Karate Kid 1 and earlier in episode flashbacks when Johnny is watching Iron Eagle
- removed Karate Kid 1 flashbacks during Johnny’s drive to the All Valley Arena, also removed Head Games
- removed Karate Kid 2 flashbacks when Johnny arrives at the All Valley Arena
- removed earlier in episode flashback when Johnny sees Sam at Larusso’s
Episode 2
- removed Karate Kid 1 flashbacks when Daniel sees Cobra Kai is reopened, changed music track
- trimmed some of Brucks’ dialogue at Sam’s pool party
- removed Yasmine’s “meth head zombie” line
- removed Daniel’s “sexting” lines
- trimmed Yasmine’s dialogue and faces during the Cafeteria scene
- removed flashback to Kyler’s face when Miguel is punching the dummy

- removed Vixen product placement
- removed Homeless Lynn’s "meth and burritos” line
- removed “Shark Tank” product placement
- removed Karate Kid 1 flashbacks when Daniel sees Miguel in his costume
- removed Miguel’s flashback to his training
Episode 4
- trimmed Louie and Anoush’s lines while painting the billboard
- removed Trey’s “Man, that’s Grade A, organic, gluten-free, booty butt ass cheeks.” line
Episode 5
- trimmed up Miguel’s bad acting after getting hit with baseball
- removed Anthony and Roland comparing their dads
- trimmed Yasmine and Moon’s lines when Sam confronts them in their car
- trimmed up Miguel’s bewildered look after beating Kyler’s gang
- removed Karate Kid 1 flashback of Miyagi’s speech to Daniel
- moved Daniel’s training montage to beginning of Ep6 to move Johnny’s childhood flashback to Ep1

- removed Sam being cyber bullied
- removed “What are those!” line from Cruz
- removed Anoush’s dating life lines
- removed Sam getting a blow pop stuck on her and Demetri explaining the joke

- rearranged and trimmed up Miguel and Sam’s date

- removed Daniel practicing the handstand kick and Robby finding him
