I don’t know if it’s just because I’m so familiar with Guy Henry but no matter whether it’s the original or the deepfake I just can’t see Peter Cushing at all. It’s just Henry wearing a bad eye mask and a weird hairpiece made of CGI.

Thanks Burbin! Downloading those now and can’t wait to implement them. You are a rockstar!

Thank you! The ‘alternate’ deepfake clips really stood out before, now they all match perfectly. Much sharper too. This is a huge improvement, nice work Burbin (and Shamook!) 👍

Thanks! These look great.
Shamook & Burbin, your skills are on another level 👍

Amazingly, I was just doing some remastering work on my Rogue One edit this week when your PM arrived. Perfect timing!
Awesome work. Shamook’s Tarkin now feels like he is part of the film image instead of layered over it.
I was considering doing something similar to what you did (adding some noise, adjusting color, et cetera).
Now, thankfully, I don’t have to.
Many thanks!
Thanks everyone for the kind words, and huge thanks again to Shamook for stepping in with the source files. The stuff I did was pretty straightforward (though very tedious), but he’s the one that really made this possible. Can’t wait to see what he’s able to bring to future Lucasfilm projects.
Damn son Burbin that is dope. And here I thought I already had the perfect deepfakes for Rogue One (HAL9000’s version). Would love a link my man!
This is the way.
Spoilers for The Book of Boba Fett episode 6:
Shamook’s time at Lucasfilm has clearly been well spent. With a Disney budget behind him, my god, it’s indistinguishable from if they’d invented a time machine and used it to grab Mark Hamill circa 1983.

Having implemented Shamook’s work into Rogue One it’s really awesome to see it done officially in a real Star Wars production. Plus the fact he came by and shared his work on this thread is even cooler now.
That reminds me Burbin, I was meaning to ask, would you ever consider undertaking the same process you did for Tarkin and Leia in Rogue One for Shamook’s Luke deepfake in The Mandalorian finale? I know he hasn’t provided the source files for it, but if I recall correctly, I had noticed the YT video he made of it was uploaded in 2K. Would you see any merit in the effort?
I’m pretty sure somebody on the forum already implemented it into the scene itself, but it didn’t come along with the whole episode. I have it on my hard drive at home I believe but I won’t be back there until tomorrow.
Yeah a few people have already implemented it, personally I don’t mind the original Luke as much as the ugly CGI on Rogue One, and Shamook’s deepfake was limited as it was just overlaying on another deepfake. Thankfully now we get to see what it looks like on full quality in TBoBF Chapter 6.
If someone could send me the unaltered finale episode I could try to slot the modified footage into it. Unless somebody has already done that. (In which case, I would like a link!)
Hey guys. Just finished BOBF and was sitting here bored. I remembered Shamook had done a deep fake with Harrison’s face onto Alden E, and I just had a thought.
Alden’s performance is awesome, but his voice is just slightly too high pitched. Its not deep like Harrison’s. So, I hopped in Audacity and did an amateurish pitch adjustment combined with Shamook’s video from a year back.
Sorry the audio isn’t great, but as a simple audio change, big impact especially with the deep faked face.
Wow, that does have a really big impact. Good work! I don’t have any issue with Alden in the role, however, if the rest of the scenes were ever deepfaked, pitching his dialogue down like that would make for a really cool alternative edition to watch.

Some lines work better than others, but I was like “Jesus H” lol for such a simple change, its actually something doable. I’m almost sad the big D hired Shamook, because we could get this shit done if he were still a civilian. lol
Some day, even if in the distant future, we will live to see the entire film given a virtual-Harrison-Ford treatment. Kinda crazy to think about.
@Hal 9000 I think that day is much sooner than we think. What did you think of the clip?
I thought it worked surprisingly well. Not perfect but I’d like to watch the whole film that way and just see what it’s like.

This is awesome! I’ve never given this movie chance (just ain’t Han without Harrison Ford for me), but if something like this was ever achievable I’d watch it in a heart beat.
While not a deepfake, i thought I’d include my attempt at a slightly younger Palpatine. I doctored a single frame in photoshop, applied it to surface mesh in davinci resolve 18, and then applied a bit of face refinement on top of that.
Attack of the Clones: Alternate Timeline Edit Thread:

Hello everyone! It’s been some months since Shamook was kind enough to provide the source files of his Rogue One deepfakes, and as I noted back then the deepfakes themselves were a lot sharper but the surrounding footage was of lower quality.
Well I was finally able to take the time to redo my deepfake implementation, only using Shamook’s source quality files this time. Not only is the source quality much higher, but the files also included all the shots that were missing from the Youtube video. Previously I used alternate sources for these shots (save for one where I couldn’t find any source), they blended better than the original CGI but still they were lower quality and weren’t a perfect match to Shamook’s work, now all the shots are of equal quality and source so the whole thing is way more cohesive.
Here’s a preview of all the new clips:

pw: faneditMost of the work had to be redone but the process was a lot more straightforward this time around. With just a bit of noise the footage blended pretty well, as well as some small fixes, fades etc . I kept the clips the same lenght and name so that is easy to replace the previous versions. (I also learned that exporting lossless is unnecessary and creates ludicrous file sizes so now all the clips only come at 2.16 GB).
I’ve created a Google drive to share this new version and will be sending the link to everyone who previously showed interest, if anyone else would like the link feel free to PM me. Huge thanks to Shamook for sharing his work and making this possible!
Can you upload this on YouTube?

This looks amazing! Sorry if I missed it somewhere but has this been put into a full edit of the movie? If so, where can I get a link?
