Retitle the Rise of Skywalker to “Out of the Unknown Regions” so that the sequel trilogy’s titles form a full sentence.
My title would be “To Go to Work.”

Star Wars has 3 eras: The eras are 1977-1983(pre Expanded Universe), (1983-2014) expanded universe, or (2014- now) Disney-bought version. Each are valid.

Remove “Episode I” subtitle from TPM and pretend it was a one-off film from 1999 that was never expanded upon.
Why the “And so forth”? You only had one row to go!

If only there were a way to make the CGI look worse so it looks properly like a product of its time (direct-to-video?) rather than the massive budget boundary-pusing pioneer 5 years ahead of its time that it was.

Remember when we’d meme about John Boyega saying there’s no right order by proposing an order with AotC four times? Well now it’s no longer the worst.
You’re right. AOTC five times would be worse.

Make Han the other Skywalker that Yoda was talking about.

Out of Darkness
If I was making a TROS edit that changed the title, I’d unironically pick this one. Both for the sentence thing and to purposefully reference Abrams’ other terrible sci-fi franchise sequel that brings back a classic villain in a bad way and has the protagonist come back to life at the end.
It also just sounds like a good pulpy sci-fi title and fits TROS really well, better than it did Trek’s actually. The Final Order coming out of the darkness of Exegol and the unknown regions, Palpatine returning from death, Rey learning and rejecting her dark heritage, and Kylo coming back to the light.
Make Han the other Skywalker that Yoda was talking about.
And make his name change the result of him mysteriously losing his Spice Freighter navigator father when he was but a wee lad.

Then you’re in the right place.

That’s not bad. Hal did use book titles for his prequels after all, though OotS is a High Republic book and not a IX tie-in. Which is just as well; I think the only big IX tie-in was Resistance Reborn, which isn’t a great movie subtitle.
Insert James Brown’s “Sexy Sexy Sexy” every time Anakin and Padme kiss each other.
I have altered Lucas’ visions. Pray I don’t alter them any further.
Make Han the other Skywalker that Yoda was talking about.
Honestly that’s no worse than who it actually was.

Yeah, they’re almost interchangeable. I think Han would be slightly worse due to the love triangle being unresolved and the fact that the other Force sensitive person was just another dude.

Plus Leia works better as a retcon for the scene in Empire where Luke talks to her through the force. Post-ROTJ, now it kinda looks like Leia sensed Luke with her latent abilities, and not just that Luke reached out to the only human he knew was nearby.
and not just that Luke reached out to the only human he knew was nearby.
Well, he is specifically calling out to her.

I don’t think making Leia Luke’s sister to resolve the love triangle is really a plus in favor of that.

That’s why I still enjoy the first 45 minutes of TFA: had it been a sequel made way earlier, Rey would have been the lost sister (well, assuming a slight retcon of ROTJ).
So long 🙌
