Anywho ..... since the topic seems to be revolving even in this thread, I was quite sick and my daughter went to the Keurig machine and made me a caramel cappuccino.

My 9 year old barrista .... watching after her dad.  Warms the soul.

This probably doesn't count - but it's a little thing that has made my life better today...

I play a LOT of table tennis, and have been hampered lately with shoulder pain that has been gradually getting worse.  Not bad enough to make me stop, but enough that I've worried I may have to at some point.  Anywho (learned that in an earlier post), tonight I was at the club in a heated match, and I step around my backhand side to hit a crosscourt forehand.  My opponent then hits a drop shot on my wide forehand side, and I have to lunge over to get it.  I do get there in time, early enough in fact to attempt a down the line kill.  Well, I'm so off balance from the extended reach that I hit a terrible stroke, miss the table entirely, and I feel a crunching "pop" in my shoulder, accompanied by a sharp pain.

Oh oh, I think - there is goes.  But lo and behold, suddenly my shoulder feels fine.  The pain that's been dogging me for several months is entirely gone!  Seems I may have somehow freed some sort of impingement.

I'll know for sure in the morning.  For now, I'm knocking on everything wood that I see, in the hopes that this miracle isn't temporary.  If it still feels good in the morning, I probably should pay my opponent as a thank you for the chiropractic adjustment.

^ Fantastic news! I was only slightly disappointed that you didn't accidentally hit the ball into the ceiling and it ricocheted back onto the table winning you the point :-)

Well, the gym has very high ceilings, plus by the rules if the ball bounces off of something before hitting the table, it doesn't count.  No raquetball type shots allowed.

Morning, and my shoulder still feels fine. :)

Maybe some kind of weird muscle knot that was undone by the impact?

Either way, that's great! Hope it stays that way.

"Sitting... like a bird sits on it's nest... egg!"

Histor the time-travelling crow teaching kids about History, with his sidekick Pliny the Elder younger crow.

History = Histor's Eye

Makes perfect sense to me.

I got what it was trying to do but the vowel change is too harsh for the pun to work.

Werk-Work ok

Wurk-work ok

Wirk-Work -Cilla Black

Wark-Work- pun fail

Wyrk-Work -epic pun fail.

The last time I purchased a printed tee was 2002 and it was a Vlad the Impaler shirt for about the same price.

It's meant to be a sh*t pun... like The Beatles.

I am currently trying not to come up with a play on words which mean excrement.

This might not have made my life better but it's interesting, it's sort of random but it's not a thought.

I made this recipe for Indoneasian Beef Ren Dang.

Words are incapable of describing how delicious it is. The best curry I've ever eaten, nevermind ever cooked and it's really easy too. Throw it all in a blender, then throw that in a casserole pot and leave in the oven for hours. Yum yum! (Good news for for the Veggies, Quorn tastes pretty nice in it too).It made my day! :-)

FYI I only put in one Red Chilli (Instead of 3), that was enough to just make the eyes start to water on the last mouthful ;-)

Oh and if the BBC 'How to' video above ^ doesn't work for you, here is a YouTube link...

The Land Rover in front of me on the way home had a U.N.I.T wheel-cover on the back (Couldn't tell if it was official merch or home made). For a moment I was happily imagining I was part a taskforce convoy off to help The Doctor thwart The Silurians :-)

My little nephew was in one of those newspaper cutest-baby roundup things and I spotted one of the other babies pictured had been named 'Tegan Rose'. Clearly the parents were hardcore Dotor Who fans, as both 'Tegan' and 'Rose' were past companions. I thought it was pretty awesome.

Walking down the street to where I was getting a Covid vaccination, I came across an independent toy shop (a rare thing in the UK)

A toy shop with a full window display of Star Wars toys - something I’ve not seen in years. It took me right back to being a kid in the early 80’s again - where these toys were seemingly on the shelves in every toy store and supermarket.

The prices weren’t too bad either - and always good to have an alternative to the likes of tax dodgers amazon - as well to actually be able to see in the flesh something that may interest us; the size, quality, look, and feel (instead of a stock image photo).

Looking forward to going back again - with some cash in my pocket this time 😃

Congratulations on the vaccination! And I feel exactly the same about Amazon and shopping in-person. I’ve never resorted to buying from Amazon for many reasons, but I’ve had to do the vast majority of shopping online for the past year and it’s not the same. Just the other day I finally went in to my favourite local bookshop and browsed for half an hour. Felt brilliant and I came away with more books than I probably should have. Things are looking up 😃
