In 2013, althor1138 captured and released Laserdisc rips of almost every version of Star Wars as seen here https://originaltrilogy.com/topic/Star-Wars-Laserdisc-Preservations-See-1st-Post-for-Updates/id/15283 I just would want to know if anyone has done the same thing with VHS or DVD. Please help however you can.

Re DVD rips…? No - as they are readily available to buy; and we ae NOT a pirate site.
However, there are some improvement projects for the DVD releases (mainly the 2004 OT SE DVDs and the 2006 GOUT DVDs) - which can be found in the ‘An Index Of Projects & Help Thread for Star Wars Preservations’ - linked to above. 👍
A little patience goes a long way on this old-school Rebel base. If you are having issues finding what you are looking for, these will be of some help…

Dark Jedi did a transfer of the Faces FullScreen VHS tapes. These would be the NTSC releases.
I also think The Starkiller did a transfer of the Fox rental tape for star wars from 1982.
The Ugnaught also did his own transfer of the rental tape but i never had that one myself.
Dark Jedi did the fullscreen Special Edition from 97.
