did anyone catch what looks like an Echo base interior wall behind the Falcon when they show footage of the arrival at cloud city in the previous video around 4:22 ? …https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yix_9g_Ob74

The full size Falcon was built into the Echo Base set and it was probably difficult and costly to move so it probably made sense to re-use it for this shot. So I suppose the Cloud City landing platform and Echo Base hangar were built on the same sound stage?

IIRC, the Falcon was easily moved on hydraulic(?) pads under the landing gear. A couple stagehands could push it around. And at some point in production the hangar set had to come down and Dagobah had to be built.

They would have had to move the Falcon around a bit to create the Cloud City landing pad aet.

A second LEGACY video includes more (very) interesting outtakes.

A nice, unused shot of Vader, meeting the bounty hunters - a rather revealing moment for Boba (probably the most vigilant of the bounty hunters - he seems to have eyes in the back of his head). And a much better (but brief) look at Dengar’s facial scarring make-up. Pity the outtake has been (conveniently?) split with a sh*tload of missing frames.

Must be the VERY FIRST TIME material has been released from the Bounty Hunters line-up scene?

It’s almost like they have all this great material hoarded but don’t like to admit that deleted scenes exist for anything.

More of this stuff will probably find its way onto DISNEY’s exclusive digital platform services. STAR WARS fans are suckers for this kind of material.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen this photo before

Deep Roy. Also played Mr. Sin in the classic 1977 DOCTOR WHO serial “THE TALONS OF WENG-CHIANG”.

I think this image may be from Rinzler’s Making Of EMPIRE book?

Wow…

Every time I see pictures like this I think about what it must have been like for them. Probably one of the best times of their lives.

I am going to copy all the images and Adjust the black / white points/gray scale in order to bring these pics back to life. I probably won’t do any repairs though on the scratches. If anyone wants them let me know. Otherwise I will keep them in my “fixed” photo archive.

Great find by the way!

Alrighty, I gave these a quick fix. Sorry to have these reposted again but they really needed some TLC.

I like those crew jackets. I think there might have been replicas made for sale once? I know the original fan club offered the Vader in Flames patch for a time.

Everything makes sense now. 3PO was well aware of what he was doing when he interrupted Leia and Han’s moment.

At least Han didn’t take it to heart.

😅

“Heroes come in all sizes, and you don’t have to be a giant hero. You can be a very small hero. It’s just as important to understand that accepting self-responsibility for the things you do, having good manners, caring about other people - these are heroic acts. Everybody has the choice of being a hero or not being a hero every day of their lives.” - George Lucas

😅

Considering Anakin made C3PO, Leia really likes kissing her brothers :p
